    JoPa: I heard that pedophilia
molestation was going on, but I told my boss

Urban: I knew Zach and Courtney had a bad marriage and DV had been alleged, so I told my boss AND I knew her parents, police and the prosecutor were aware, had been involved, and the latter found nothing to charge, detain, or prosecute him on.

    • Anyway, this is getting tedious. It is reassuring to know that conference rivals are the exact same in the BigTen as in the SEC.

Actually, he initially said it was a made up story... Afterward he said he got it wrong because he was inadequately prepared to talk about it... But he remembered that he reported 6 yrs. earlier in 2009...

        • In this conversation before taking the podium Meyer says there was nothing in 2015. No report of charges. "How do you report that?"

Before he took the podium at Big Ten media days, Meyer discussed the allegations against Zach Smith with a small group of reporters in Chicago.

I don't think CGVT's post that I was referring to was in regards to Urban's media days lie - rather, just how Urban's actions were the same as JoePa's in his view. Or at least he didn't understand how they were different.

If this goes back to whether Urban was honest at media days, I think it likely he wasn't - even though the article he was asked about had an error in it corrected later.

Were any charges filed in 2015? Despite Bret McMurphy's initial report that he was arrested, was he actually?

              • On second thought. Really, never mind. This was and is tedious, I have said my piece and have no real dog in the fight other than being the stalwart voice of reason (as usual).

                  • Ok, last thing AA,

Meyer never mentioned an article or made a distinction between an arrest or an investigation. When Bill Landis asked him about 2015, he said there was nothing. I took that to mean the entire story was a fabrication - that to his knowledge NOTHING happened in 2015 regarding Zach Smith and domestic violence.

                    • Okay, Rocky, you win: last thing: that "there was nothing" could also mean no charges, no arrests, and no plans by the prosecution to pursue it at present.

Now, have a great night and may you enjoy the blessings granted to us by the beneficent and merciful Lord Saban.

                      • Or you could read the thread and see what it is I think. Supercilious is a good word choice nonetheless though. I'm happy to own that, given the difference in standards between the two institutions. I think that conducting such affairs according to a code of ethics, as distinct from a what-we-can-get-away-with approach, is a good thing.

                        • I know that you think. And, I have no doubt that if Harbaugh were fired over bullshit then M sycophants would continue to lick the boots of the administration. Spineless sycophants. In Columbus, of course, the fanbase holds the University accountable for doing the wrong thing. I'm quite comfortable with that distinction.

                          Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

This may be the most wrong headed idea you've ever posted here.

After Concussiongate, it was the M fan base that prompted the firing of Dave Brandon.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
