I wonder if memories of Bob Knight had anything to do with it.

I think Jabrill Peppers would flourish in Pittsburgh black and gold. Would love to have Malik Hooker too, but he'll be gone. Peppers may fall due to his lack of production and experience at safety - his probable pro position. Hooker is one of the most fluid athletes I've ever seen. And what a play maker.Last edited by Rocky Bleier; January 11, 2017, 12:55 PM.I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

I've heard Hooker is a bit rickety. Not that he's prone to injuries, just that his knees or something are starting to hurt him. Regardless, the dude is best ball hawk I've ever seen at OSU. His pick against Clemson was stupendous and the single highlight of the night for OSU. He's not Polamalu, but he has an athleticism and instinct for the game that really reminds me of #43. But, yes, he'll be long gone.
I'm not sure on Peppers. He's about 20 pounds light to play his natural position in the NFL. I have no doubt he can pick up safety, but I'd hate to draft a kid that is going spend a year or two learning the position. I tell you, though -- if they can get Peppers up to 220 or so he could be a badass walk-out LB/blitzer/hell raiser. Shazier is only 230 or so, but he plays so f'n fast. I could see Peppers getting there. Maybe.
As you can tell, he's hard for me to project.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

If he decides on UNL, which was allegedly his second choice, then this is more than an offset of losing Calvin.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

OSU can have Jaylen Harris if they want him, very different receiver but not huge difference in talent. Talent can correct me that they were expecting to land Harris regardless?Last edited by WM Wolverine; January 12, 2017, 03:28 PM.

Re OSU hoops, it's a shitshow. Sum is less than the parts.

I saw an update on west coast recruiting that OSU recently offered Ty Jones, a wr from Utah. He's a current Wash commit who is 6'4" and 200 lbs (if those #'s are true).
Doesn't seem like OSU is cutting if they're still offering.Grammar... The difference between feeling your nuts and feeling you're nuts.
