  • At this particular moment, Ohio State forums are unreadable for me. I've read, literally, at least 4 threads saying that if UFM doesn't make changes he should be fired. He's 61-6. SIXTY ONE AND FUCKING SIX. Goddamn fucking shameful shit that makes Hannibal look like a fucking sunny side of street optimist. Holy fucking god.

If this team had lost to Wisconsin or if they hadn't kicked the shit out of M when it mattered, and finished 10-2 and won some shitass bowl to finish 11-2, then everyone would be like...wooot....next season!!!!! Play like total ass against Clemson, though, and everything associated with the offense and maybe even UFM has to go.

61-6. SIXTY ONE AN FUCKING SIX. I'm at a loss.

You shouldn't be. You've been around long enough to know that the measure of a team's worthiness, nay, the future employment of the head guy, is based on what happened in the most recent game. The best part about the osu fan base from Northern Kentucky is their undeniable stupidity. Jeez, I've driven through ohio. Aside from Heroin and osu football, what do these morons have?

Yeah, urban shit the bed v Clemson and Dabo. Embarrassing for sure but in no way is this a measure of osu or of ufm. At least it shouldnt' be ..... but wait ..... the 13 year old's posting from their bedrooms.

      • It's unfathomable. I lived through 9-3 Earle. I lived through 2-10-1. In my wildest dreams I never dreamed Ohio State would ever be THIS FUCKING GOOD. And, yet, it's not good enough. I can't deal with those people.

Often the query has been why on earth do you post on a M forum. Well, this isn't a typical internet forum. I can share rational opinions with people who love the game (they're school first, but still, the game). They don't lose their shit. They don't throw out 5 years for 60 minutes. Buchanan, WM and even Hannibal (and others) are at least willing to talk football in a fact-based way. Even if Hannibal is off the charts negative -- it's still supported.

I think some changes probably need to be made on the offensive side of the ball. UFM cut Withers loose after the MSU/Clemson debacles of 2013 and brought in Ash and Schiano. I expect something similar for 2017. But, for the love of fucking god -- a team that was probably a year way made the CFP and played likes shit. Talk about your first world problems. The bigger travesty -- far bigger -- is that last year's team didn't get a chance to kneecap Bama two years in a row. This year? Meh.

        • Yeah. Bama has a ton of them. We *only* beat Washington by 17 and heads should roll. We're spoiled beyond all comprehension.

          • The absolutely pitiful thing is that I can see that...Bama scored 17 offensive points and 7 of those came strictly on the effort of Bo Knows. OMG! OMG! OMG!

You'll need more from your offense to beat Clemson, but jebus....this assumption that there are, literally, no other teams that can possibly come within 17 points of your team (OSU included) is so fucking preposterous.

            Oy vey.

            • Yeah, apparently no way 2016 osu's offense would have matched up well v. Bama's D. Would have been ugly.

2015 osu v. 2015 Bama? Tables turned for sure. You have to hate the current system for delivering Clemson on a platter to The Nick instead of Bama having to face to osu in the 2016 CFBCG.

OTH, I think Dabo is going to clean The Nick's clock in 2017. As much as I have no love for that gas bag, prick Dabo, The Nick needs to be brought back to earth. He needs a hair-cut and one is on the way.

              • Clemson is legit. They have some dudes where it really matters.

                • That said, the dudes on Alabama's defense are stupid. I mean, stupid. From front to back it's one goddamn 5*/First Round pick after another. STUPID.

OSU is closing in on that shit. The 2017 and 2018 classes are going to be it. But the endgame is still 3-4 years away.

Right now -- man -- some badasses are going to be playing on Monday. Nothing but respect.

                  • Clemson may win. I don't think it will be a "clock cleaning", though.

I like our chances. 60/40. Or so.

                    • A team with a good secondary and a front 7 that can pressure the true freshman QB deals us fits on offense. We have one of the best receiving corps in the nation, but Jalen will stare down a target and can be slow reading the defense and going through his progs.

He is getting better, but he still has some growing to do.

                      • I think that's where I am. OSU's DL gave them a ton of problems. Watson is really good, so he'll make some throws. But, I almost think that Bama can sit back in their 4-2-5 C3 and stop them. They have that massive luxury of a being able to stop the running game even if they're outnumbered 6v5. Badasses. If Clemson can't run against that, then it's over. If they force them into a some C1 situations then Bama MAY have some issues.

Clemson has a stout DL and good LBs, but you can rip their secondary. That's why it was such a terrible matchup for OSU -- Clemson's defensive strengths played to OSU's offensive "strengths". Clemson's weaknesses weren't as bad as OSU's. IMO, if Hurts plays well it's a clear Bama win.

                        • Agreed, the key is Hurts. He locks his eyes on a receiver (see the Auburn game), hesitates and then throws. A good corner will break and get PBU or god forbid an INT.

Back to U-Dub: what was maddening was that we could run on them. Bo was gashing them. We kept trying to pass. I guess on the job training...or something.

Welcome to the internet, where have you been living? All message boards look alike when their team is losing. All games are over in the 1st quarter when your team is off to a slow start, everyone needs to be fired, and everyone is done with ____ team.

I think that's correct. But, I wonder how much that TD drives colors the opinion. Because I remember a lot of plays where UW just crushed the run. They had some boys who could play up front. I remember thinking the same thing in the 1st half, but then in the 2nd half when they started to run more it was into a brick wall -- until Bo broke a bazillion tackles. If breaking a bazillion tackles is part of your gameplan, then huzzah!

Yeah, I know. But, this even surprises me a bit. Probably my bad for being a fool.

50 rushes for 269 yards or 5.4 apc. I guess we DID run a lot. Didn't seem like 50 carries.
