Our issues with mobile QBs are kinda diminished. We don't have 380lb DLinemen anymore and our LBs aren't 250-270 like they were. Where we have issues is our corners losing contain on a good WR who has an accurate QB throwing to him.

Watson would have to play out of his gourd to keep Clemson close. And, I'm not sure it's really possible. I don't think they have enough play makers. I'm almost as underwhelmed by their skill position players as I am by OSU's. OSU and/or M might...MIGHT...be able to make it a "first to 20" type of game. They have defenses that can give any team problems. The offense, however, is going to be problematic against Bama's slew of first round draft picks.

Correct. I don't think you can plan on out-scoring Alabama. Well, you can, but you'll lose by 3 TDs or more. The LSU game is the blueprint. And both OSU and M are better than LSU and, more importantly, better on both sides of the ball than LSU. Louisiana pee-wee teams are better than LSU on offense, but I also think M, for sure, and probably OSU are a little better on defense.
From an OSU perspective, I'll say this again because I do think it's important -- they've been through some grinding fucking games against some pretty good teams. I do think Wisconsin is pretty good and they'd be a pain in the ass for anyone to play. OSU had to come back from 10 down in 3rd and then needed a scoring drive to get it to OT. In Madison at night against pretty good defense. They were really up against it on Saturday, too, but stuck with it and the game turned in the 4th. They also fucked shit up beyond belief at PSU, but that was a total shit happens game.
The point being is that they've already played these gruesome slugfests. Alabama is a different animal, but it's the same type of game. I don't OSU wins -- I think they're 7-10 point underdogs, but I do think they'd be in it with a shout if some things went their way.
Eh, what do I know. PSU will probably beat Wisky by 40 and OSU will get to play Colorado in the most unsatisfying Rose Bowl ever.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
