          • Ohio State's current recruiting class broken by position and where the top player ranks positionally. There's some ambiguity in LBs/S these days. OLBs can move inside and safeties can move down. I also think of Okudah as more of a safety. But, I'm going with what 247 has, and using those classifications, OSU's current class has a top 4 player at 10 different positions with Grimes sure to make it 11. OSU even has the #1 kicker - a kid who drags down their average recruiting numbers, but for anyone who has endured an awful kicking season -- should be a 7*!

            DUAL QB: #2
            PRO QB: #17
            RB: [Akers, #2]
            APB: #1
            WR: [Grimes, #3]
            TE: None (great 2016 class!)
            OT: #2
            OG: #1
            ATH: #1

            WDE: #3
            SDE: None
            DT: #4 [Tufele, #3]
            ILB: [Hines, #1...longshot]
            OLB: #20
            CB: #3 [Okudah, #1]
            S: #4
            K: #1!

            • Until you have the #1 long snapper, your recruiting season is a bust.

              • Correct. However, OSU recruited the #1 LS in the 2015 class. While LS is crucial, I don't think there's a depth need, so UFM will probably roll the dice with Liam McCullough and hold off on another LS until 2018 or so. Playing with fire, I know.

                  • Turn about (and plagiarism) is fair play:

                    Dear Mr. "Talent":

                    (1) You once said that Ole Miss was your favorite SEC team because they offered you a scholarship after you were wait-listed at the Toledo Tech of Cosmetology ...or something close. You still like Johnny Reb best?

                    (2) Which loss would you rather have "back"? 1994 Bama, 1995 Tennessee, or 2005 Texas?

                    (3) Other than M, your most hated B1G team?

                    (4) Which non-con team would you like to annihilate the most after Bama?

                    (5) Who is OSU's most detested opposing player? This is probably generational, so I'll also ask most detested opposing player of this millennium?

                    (6) More painful loss? MSU 2015 or MSU 2013?

                    (7) Does the fact that OSU was "Glendaled" by UFM in 2006 make the loss easier considering he's now your coach?

(8 ) Most satisfying win under UFM ? I'm guessing it's either Bama or a win over M, but do not feel constrained by my preconceptions.

                    (9) Joe Germaine or Craig Krenzel?

                    (10) You have M, tOSUc, Iowa, and MSU. Other than those 4 teams, are there any that won't be hot garbage this year?

                    • MelaniAlum:

                      (1) Chuckie Mullins remains my favorite SEC player of all-time and I still have my complimentary Colonel Reb key chain. However, the demise of Colonel Reb and rise of Hugh Freeze has soured me on Ole Miss. Along with the deification of "The Grove", they strike me as a rural, Southern version of Wisconsin and it's "tradition" recency. The best I can say about any SEC team these days is I don't completely detest them.

                      (2) 2005 Texas. They kicked VY's ass all game. Played Tresselball to perfection. Only to see a dropped TD and missed FG cost them the game. Texas scored 23 offensive points in that game -- their final 7 coming with 2 minutes left. They weren't held below 40 in any other game that season. That said, an OSU win in that game means USC wins the National Title. But the other two options are Citrus Bowls. Citrus Bowls mean nothing unless your program has had a prolonged period of suckassery and desperately needs a pick-me-up after getting asswailed by your rival to end the season.

                      (3) Penn State. Then Wisconsin.

                      (4) I always enjoy destroying Notre Dame because there are a lot of ND fans around these parts and, well, they're ND. However, having just done that...Clemson or Baylor or TCU or whatever Johnny-come-Lately is up. It would be Oregon, but OSU has wrecked Oregon twice in the past 8 years.

                      (5) Well, for me it's John Kolesar. Charles Woodson is probably the plurality if not majority opinion. For this millennium, I'll go with Kyle Kalis.

                      (6) The 2013 loss hurt more. That was a game OSU should have won, IMO. The 2015 loss cost OSU the national title. Heh. But for those 60 minutes they were outplayed by an inferior team. Neither compares to 1998.

                      (7) No.

                      (8) I really enjoyed placeputting M fans in 2012 and in 2015. But the Alabama win was the best. I mean, UFM's boys put a 28-0 run on The Nick.

                      (9) Germaine.

                      (10) I expect PSU to better without Suckenberg and Wisconsin should be Wisconsin. The rest will be hot garbage with the exception of Purdue. Purdue is in a category of suck all by their lonesome.
