10-1 at worst. Okie will be a challenge, but kudos to osu for scheduling them. Those are the kind of non-M games I want to watch. I try to balance healthy optimism with realism. I think UFM is a fantastic coach. I think OSU has a ton of talent at nearly all places (however, the rumors of Michael Jordan, a true Frosh, starting on the OL is concerning). I think they'll be a really good team by November.
But, road games at Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Penn State and Michigan State should result in 2 losses. 2-2 is the easy betting favorite, IMO, out of the possible outcomes, with 3-1 next, followed by 1-3, then 4-0 and finally 0-4...I rate the last two extremely unlikely.
If they get to 9-2 for the M game, they *should* be playing for the B10 East. I have a hard time seeing either MSU or PSU going 8-1 in conference play. So, I can live with that.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I think osu will absolutely pound Whiskey and the Nits. Unless they implode on gameday, they should beat the Sparties as well but not by the margin they take it to PSU. OU will be a bellweather. Some very early camp info re frosh. The thought has been that Nick Bosa is bethere than his brother at this age. It'll be interesting to see how he moves up the depth chart. I can't imagine him not playing.
The surprise is Michael Jordan. He is an EE and appears to be slotted in with the starters. We'll see if that holds. I really like his potential, but I tend to think this is not good news for the OL.
Austin Mack will play. They thought he was the best WR in the class last year. He is an EE and has thus far lived up to billing.
Antonio Williams, the Walker replacement, is an EE as well. Probably more out necessity, he's in the mix for backup carries.
Also, the obvious "breakout" player is Sam Hubbard. He will end up declaring early and being drafted in first two rounds, assuming he plays all year.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I think Wade is 50/50 between UFM and The Nick.
They're getting Trevon Grimes (#15) and Tyjon Lindsey (#33) in a couple weeks. I think they're also in very good position with Jeffrey Okudah (#5). That would give them 9 kids in the top 45 (247 Composite) if they hold on to Wade.
I think they're also probably the slight favorite for Cam Akers. The only problem with Akers is that it may cause JK Dobbins to look elsewhere.
Anyway, they're super tight on scholarships. They can probably only go 20-21 and that assumes a significant exodus of underclassmen for the NFL and some, ummm, roster management. It's a real shame because they could have killed this class.
But, hey, 2018 is shaping up to be solid and more manageable in terms of numbers. Lots of top 50 kids very interested.

Moretti was really, really looking good - I think he was on his way to top 50 or better. But, he tore his ACL at an OSU camp. Hopefully he recovers, but that was disappointing.
The UAT-M battle for Isaiah Wilson will be interesting.
Also, it looks like Lester putting together another really good class. I tend to think he'll get Moses and Wilson, too. But, this is the just 1st quarter when it comes to SEC West recruiting. Shit doesn't get really interesting until the end of January!
Oh, and Georgia, too. OSU had LeCounte. He had zero interest in playing for CMR. Then Kirby came in and he committed within 15 minutes.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
