Urban Meyer maintains support for DC Schiano despite Penn State allegations
Rejuvenated allegations regarding the case of Jerry Sandusky has not wavered the trust Urban Meyer has for his defensive coordinator. The figure head of Ohio State is standing by Greg Schiano amidst allegations Schiano was aware of Sandusky's acts of sexual abuse while he was an assistant with Penn State."I first heard about it several months ago and we had a long talk," Meyer told reporters with The Toledo Blade after playing in the Marathon Classic Buckeye Broadband Pro-Am held at Highland Meadows Golf Club. "I've known Greg for 20-some years. I have as much respect for Greg Schiano as I do any person - not just any coach, any person. We had the chat and he told me everything that happened. He stands by his statement and we stand by his statement."The allegations arise from testimony given by former Nittany Lions assistant Mike McQueary saying that current UCLA defensive coordinator Tom Bradley, whom he also implicated as being aware of Sandusky's behavior, told him that Schiano confided in Bradley that he had witnessed an attack.Schiano denied he knew anything of the molestation, telling ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday that he never saw anything take place and had no reason to think anything was taking place while he was at Penn State.

        • McQueary said in a deposition -

"Greg had come into his office (Tom Bradley) white as a ghost and said he just saw Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower," "And that's it. That's all he ever told me."

            • I don't see where he's any better than Paterno, or anyone else who did nothing while that scum molested little boys.

If he knew about it, and did nothing, he doesn't deserve to be coaching anything.

If he told Paterno, and saw that nothing had been done, he should have taken it higher, or maybe even ... um ... called the police?

For me, I would have called the cops. Paterno would have had to kill me to stop me.

And Druid City Brewing is one of the best microbreweries I have ever been too. The "art" work you see is done on a chalkboard. They change it every month. They have had Saban as a cherub, Abe Lincoln (due to his height), and a number of other things. It's a playful jab at Coach Saban and it's awesome.

                          • That's chalk? All of this is probably old news to Talent (for all we know he may have been contracted to verify the correctness of the depictions), but I personally am quite impressed.
