Correct. It's only remember as a statistic -- a top 5 finish -- expressed in a large number to show consistency...such as Ohio State's 10th top 5 finish in the past 15 seasons. No one will remember the years (except me!), but some may remember the stat.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

It's as if Maurice Clarett has vanished?
He was repatriated with the football program, Urban Meyer has had him back as a motivational speaker, a 2nd nasty DUI followed by ostracism?"Whole milk, not the candy-ass 2-percent or skim milk."

I concur with The Wizard. Now someone hand me a gun so I can kill myself or him.
In recruiting news, OSU's remaining "big board" looks something like this:
QB (Desperate Need): Dwayne Haskins...at this stage things look very likely for Haskins
WR (Luxury Need): They'll take one if he's really good. Binjamin Victor was thought to be a very strong contender for this spot; now there's murmurs about Sam Bruce. That tells me they'll get neither.
DT (Desperate Need): Rashard Lawrence is only high-value target left and he's expressed a very solid interest in having OSU as the other hat on the table when he picks LSU.
LB (Need): Malik Harrison. They'll try to leverage Haskins into an improbable Keandre Jones visit, but it's Harrison. I like him well enough.
DBs (Need): Jordan Fuller and/or Damar Hamlin. They'd take both. I don't think they'll pry Hamlin from Narduzzi and Fuller is more or less impossible to read. That said, Witfong CB'd him to OSU!!!!!
So, I think Haskins and Harrison are very likely. Rashard Lawrence is equally unlikely. And Fuller and Hamlin both visit this weekend, so whatever I think about them is subject to change.
Oh, hey, Mecole Hardman is also visiting. The chances of landing him make the Powerball odds look reasonable.
Also of note for 2017...the kid I'm most interested in is Okudah. He LOVED Chris Ash. When Ash left OSU slipped back out of clear leader position to co-leader or something with Stanford. Whatever. It seems like he's a kid OSU has a really good chance with and he'd be a huge pull from Texas. It's so far away, but it's hard to not to get a little excited about OSU's potential DB class for 2017.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Apparently Jordan Fuller is one of the few people in this world who really likes Greg Schiano. Ohio State is the trending pick based, in part, on this. He's visiting OSU this weekend. IMO, it's Notre Dame or OSU.
Haskins and Lawrence remain the most important recruits with a split decision almost a certainty.Last edited by iam416; January 14, 2016, 01:29 PM.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Studrawa will join staff. Definitely tinkering with offensive staff. Really like this. Wanted him in 2012.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Good weekend for Ohio State if you weren't paying attention to hoops. God bless Coach DJD.
Rashard Lawrence remains a lost cause, but they're making a run at a 26-year old grown ass man JUCO that will cause Geezer to implode!Last edited by iam416; January 17, 2016, 10:08 PM.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
