5dimes has Ohio State as a stunning -230 to make the CFP playoff. TCU is +140 and Alabama is +180. That means you need to bet $230 to win $100 on OSU or, put another way, they think OSU has roughly a 68% chance of being in the CFP.

If I could bet OSU doesn't make it (they're not offering that at the moment), I would that in a heartbeat. I can't imagine any team being better than a 50/50 shot.

But, yeah, Ohio State isn't half bad. Gonna be a different year. No longer are they the plucky underdog flying under the radar weathering devastating QB injuries. They're back to be the Yankees-Cowboys-Man United rolled into 1 team the entire non-Buckeye nation will be rooting against all season. Huzzah!

While keeping things respectable in the Rivalry, Michigan has looked mediocre to crappy in most of its other games. That's where the talent differential shows up the most.

A team with mediocre talent can play a great game once a year. It's not going to consistently win in a division with OSU, Penn State, and MSU.
