  • Some say Zimmerman started it by getting out of his car and following TM, but there's nothing wrong or illegal about following somone you believe is suspicious. The evidence is on GM's face and cranium, but I'm not sure his injuries were worthy of killing TM.

    • I suspect it would be a different story if one of those first 3 games was against somebody like Bama.

        • I think most agree it's a very fair punishment (3 games) for someone who tried to slap/hit a girl who had weighed twice as much as... If not for the Hernandez situation and UFM past in Florida, this would be a minor story.

            • Aaron Hernandez letter from prison, why Urban, why?

The Patriots took care of business against the Titans on Sunday, beating them in Tennessee, 34-13. It was an all-around attack from New England, as young players stepped up on both sides of the ball. Stevan Ridley had a career day, and rookies Chandler Jones and Dont’a Hightower had impressive debuts. Check out our “Patriots Talk” video and listen to…

                      • pryor threw the ball fine. His problem was then and is now processing information.

I would not be surprised that with pryor under center, tressel had to simplify the offense and make his reads quick and easy. At the college level, simplification like that works not to mention that prior could run and opposing college defenses had to honor that making their own coverages harder to disguise or complicate. College ball was pryor's ceiling.

He's a gifted athlete with an IQ of probably around 90. You cannot play QB in the NFL with that kind of limitation. He can throw the ball adequately but NFL offenses need a QB who can do way more than that and running is not generally a difference maker.

                        • He threw a decent deep ball, but wasn't very good with the short or intermediate throws.

                              • Two things:

pryor was throwing into arguably the worst defense in Michigan history. Well, there was one worse after this one. That would be M's 2009 campaign with the defense run by M's worst DC in it's history, Greg Robinson.

Those who would rather forget but can't will recall the CF surrounding a pretty decent DC, Scott Shaffer, being screwed over by several of Rodriguez's yes men in 2008, falling on his own sword to account for RR's stupendous mismanagement of his coaching staff and resigning after that game ..... which is incredibly painful to watch.

....... as much as for the defense as for QB Nick Sheridan's vainglorious attempt to stand tall as a Michigan man.

I'm of a mind to delete that thing, strange.
