    • The Jerry Sandusky and Jim Tressel sagas were very similar in most respects.

Jerry's locker room keys were taken and he was banned from interacting with young males at Penn State football facilities for life.

Jim's locker room keys were taken, he was given a show-cause sanction banning him from interacting with young males at Ohio State's football facilities for 5 hard years. Had there been a proper criminal investigation, Tressel certainly would have received much stiffer punishment for screwing the OSU football program, the University and every football fan in Ohio.

Worst part of it all it seems is that the dark perpetrator seems to be enjoying a perverse "Stockholm Syndrome"triste with their fanbase. Sad.

"The Jerry & Jimmy show" -a sinister comedy.

      • OSU proposing to add more seats to the Shoe. Would raise capacity another 2500, enough to put it ahead of Neyland Stadium

        • no plan to overtake #1, ha?

          • They have the space to try and overtake Michigan's seating capacity, but Fielding Yost designed Michigan Stadium with the idea that it could one day seat 150K. It was built with that thought in mind, and there are already footings in place to make such an expansion possible. I don't know that the horseshoe could ever be expanded to 150K or more.

              • Nobody is going to go much beyond 120k, traffic and such make it hard enough as is. Texas I thought would eventually but they've struggled on the field lately and we'll see how they survive this 'down' period and a down-the-road coaching succession. Longhorns have a lot of space in one of their endzones to expand another 30k plus seats... Ohio State has less potential to add capacity but I think eventually they'll fill their horseshoe.

M with their recent renovations limited their potential for seating to just additions in the north and south end zones, those press boxes, suites take away from that potential 150k liney spoke of. For aesthetic reasons, I'd like the stadium to be symetrical but I think it makes a lot more sense to expand one end zone at a time. Financially, it might make more sense to add more suites than seating capacity.

Bama, Tennessee, PSU already looked maxed out, expansion has turned Beaver into an eye sore and Neyland at least they made it look a lil' better with renovations around the stadium to give it a cleaner look...

UCLA with the Rose Bowl is a lot like Michigan Stadium, pre-renovation. You feel like your at M stadium when you're there. UCLA can't fill it as-is and last I knew, they don't even own the place... USC is in same boat but in inability to sell out unless it's a big game...

I could see some SEC schools becoming members of the 100k club; LSU, Georgia, Florida & possibly Auburn if Bama wasn't so successful at their expense.

                        Probably 90% said OSU.

                        • Flagship ...... meanwhile, M played in the NCAA basketball championship, advanced to the Women's softball world series (along with Neb), won or participated in multiple NCAA sport championships .... all at the same time osu sports went cold.

This while their President, Gordon Gee, made himself and the school he represents look like ass-hats.

                          Flagship indeed.

                            • Gee is guilty of bad form due to the position he holds. Other than that, I agree with pretty much everything he said 100%. It just comes off as low-brow from a university president. That said, I'm glad he did it. The comments get out there and osu takes the heat. Perfect scenario actually.

                              • Gee has been a spectacular fundraiser ..... I am sure Ohio is gladly willing to take a little heat in exchange for the 1.6 billion he has brought in.
