Not a lot of Heisman talk so far this year. The country is lacking the usual crop of three or four obvious candidates. I like Leonard Fournette a lot but he is going to be facing 8-9 men in the box all year because, as usual, it looks like LSU's QB is poop.
Fournette is tremendous. But as you said, Brandon Harris is not.
I gotta think that Kessler probably has the cleanest path to the Heisman. Lots of big exposure games playing for a big exposure school. Boykin would be my #2. Connor Cook probably has the best shot from the B10. Well, him and De'Veon Smith!
Elliot may quietly put up huge numbers, but quietly will be the operative word.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
The season is just starting but Derrick Henry, RB - Alabama - with his leading six touchdowns. The junior running back has 243 rushing yards on 31 carries. Considering he's almost halfway to his 2014 total, Henry has made his case as the best back in the country.
Cody Kessler, QB - USC played 2 cakewalks but through two weeks, the senior has netted 650 passing yards and seven touchdowns without throwing an interception.
Corey Coleman, WR - Baylor. A year after recording 1,119 receiving yards as a sophomore, Coleman burned SMU and Lamar for 178 yards and 182 yards, respectively, as the junior already has five touchdowns on only 11 receptions and 360 yards.
Chad Kelly, QB - Ole Miss. He is lighting it up through two weeks, posting 557 passing yards, six touchdown passes, and only one pick. It's also worth noting that his 234.0 QBR is tops among all pivots in the country.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
Wrong thread, Buchanan. This one is reserved for Mormons, Prime Nonsense and the occasional bit of OSU news.
Many, many seasons ago, the Lord appeared unto me as Tom Brady and said, "As it is on earth, so will it be in Heaven for you. Regarding Ohio, let them worship their false idols, for I have reserved a special place in hell for them, right between Jim Tressel and Hack.
However as a special favor to your Lord while on earth, never resist the opportunity to let them know what is in store for them, now go forth and buy yourself another Ferrari my son!"
