This updated is shamelessly cribbed from 11W, but that's not a problem since I have no shame. Ohio State is probably down to 8-9 spots left.
QB: Filled
RB: Filled
Dynamic Athlete/H-Back: Filled
TE: Maybe 1
OL: Filled
WR: 1-3....if they're elite
DE: 1
DT: 1
LB: Filled ?
DB: 2-3
I'll knock out the easy ones first. Austin Mack will be a WR in the class. Then it's a matter of chasing elite players like Donnie Corley, Nate Craig-Myers and Binjamin Victor while trying to keep Ahmir Mitchell and the like interested and in the fold. I guess they're pushing to get Corley back on campus soon for one more sell and see where they stand. If they think he's going to EL -- as it would appear -- then they maybe take Mitchell and chase NCM or Victor.
For defensive end, it's Nick Bosa. To avoid upsetting this apple cart they more or less stopped recruiting Austin Robertson and Josh Wright -- and they would have had almost certainly had Robertson.
At TE, I think they'd take Luke Farrell. They already have Hausmann, though, so I'm unclear on this.
At DT, Rashan Gary is unlikely, but he's a hard read. They're also pushing hard for Antwuan Jackson, but that seems unlikely, too. They'll probably end up taking a DT that's completely off the radar at the moment.
At LB, I think they're happy with Borland. If a top 50 player falls in their lap, then ok, but otherwise, I think they're done.
At DB, the number seems to be 3 more. I'm not even going to pretend to guess who those 3 will be.
Finally, not sure what their thought is on Prince Sammons. His size makes and skill make him fairly versatile. Sammons and Farrell are the last two Ohio kids on the board.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Turning to 2017, OSU has verbals from the following (247 Composite National Rating in parens):
Josh Myers, OT (3)
Shaun Wade, CB (14)
Marcus Williamson, CB (88 )
Danny Clark, QB (154)
Todd Sibley, RB (157)
Bruce Judson, Ath (213)
They're in a great position with Trevon Grimes, WR (7) and Emmanuel Greene, Ath (72).
I'm interested to see if they can make any headway with Peoples-Jones. I'm also interested to see how the entire WR/Ath recruiting shakes out. My guess is Judson will eventually decommit and go elsewhere. There are a couple really good WRs/Ath in state. There's no way OSU has room for them all, so plenty of good players will be going elsewhere.
I'm also interested to see if they recruit another QB. Shawn Robinson is, at least, interested. I can't imagine not pushing for him, even if he probably won't leave Texas.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Coach Herman is doing some work in Houston. First 5* commit for a non-Power 5 in, like, forever. And a great 4* pickup, too. I really think he's going to do well there. I just hope he doesn't hit his final landing spot job before UFM retires.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Jabrill Peppers expresses concern that under auspicious NCAA governance he's unable to buy enough groceries while OSU's CJz, a 23-year old with illegitimate kids to feed and the same "theoretical scholarship budget" is somehow able to stretch that dollar to unimaginable lengths! LOL

Played only 3 games his college career somehow found the money to fly to Vegas for the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight. I guess Urban Meyer is his babysitter.

For those that wish to help Meyer out with his Mexican Standoff at QB feel free to send an email, drop a line or make a phone call expressing your disapproval. Certainly an investigation is underway but why not speed it along?.
Justice must be served, end Ohio State University's charade today.
Don't forget the NCAA too.

I doubt this was ever about lacrosse but rather about not knowing jack shit about Jack's shit.
And if you did, that would make you a freelance stoolologist or some other twisted shit of sorts.Last edited by Prime2; May 27, 2015, 08:40 PM."Whole milk, not the candy-ass 2-percent or skim milk."
