  • On PTI, Tony Kornheiser just called the whole matter a "swamp".

I guess he's been to Columbus before ...

    • Small is now trying to retract most of what he said, saying his words were "twisted".

He also won't cooperate with the NCAA at all. If you'd like to add to conspiracy theories, you could speculate someone "got to him". I wouldn't be surprised at all if they did.

You can find the new article here:

Former Ohio State wide receiver Ray Small, who told the school's student newspaper that he sold Big Ten championship rings and other memorabilia for cash, backpedaled Friday, saying his words were taken out of context.

        • Small won't talk, neither will MoC or anyone else.
I think Tress survives this ..... but hopefully the taint will linger and the foul odor that emanates from the cesspool will just grow stronger.

          • The lies that are going around this program are simply mind-boggling.

That any osu fan can actually believe that this is how they'd like their football team to be viewed is delusional. It's part of what make strangelove's posts so entertaining.

Watching you writhe on the ground in agony after 8 straight losses will be even more entertaining.

And Small retracted his comments? Wow! He'll rapidly go from "brave young man with loads of character" to "lying, scumbag whore who must have gotten cash to keep quiet" around these parts

Why's it seem like the problem cases and benchwarmers are always the ones who mouth off and throw accusations around?
Probably because the fuckos pay the star players better hush money.

You mean after you beat us in 2012? I think we can assume the 2010 L will be wiped out.

                    • Small simply epitomizes everything that Tressel and osu stands for. Lying and cheating. He fully admits to knowingly breaking the rules, that takes care for cheating. Is he lying when he says he knows about others cheating or when he says The Lantern is misquoting him? None of his former teammates have come to his defense, even after his so-called retraction. They all hammer him for being the average osu athlete...a morally bankrupt POS.

But since he's now backpedalling on his statements, the schmuckeye faithful must have him going from "lying, scumbag whore who must have gotten cash" to "brave young man with loads of character".

                      • He's going to do damage (via reputation) as long as he's coach. OSU needs to cut their ties to him.

Ohio votes to allow sports fans to arm themselves

So I'm watching the Colbert Report and he did a segment on a recently passed bill in the Ohio Senate that allows "concealed carry permit holders to carry weapons into bars, restaurants, and open-air sports stadiums serving alcohol."

Yes, you read that correctly: apparently somebody thinks it's a good idea to allow the friendly folks who fill the Horseshoe each Saturday to arm themselves.

I mean, what could possibly go wrong allowing passionate Buckeye fans to bring guns to the games?

Ohio: Where ideas are born...then get shot in the face by some asshole at a football game.

Well, as long as Tressel is winning, I suppose he'd be ok. If he loses, he better be wearing a bullet-proof vest....

                            • Absolute f'ing insanity. This obsession with people having to carry a gun everywhere they go is psychotic.

Our law enforcement folks already have a tough enough job without having to deal with extra weapons being injected into every public situation. There is NO reason that anyone but a cop should have a gun in a football stadium. NONE.
