  • DSL, according to your "unique" metric, will a 2-loss OSU still play for a national championship, I mean you are still packed and heading to Pasadena?

    Fun Facts:

Urban Meyer is 0-3 in bowl games at OSU.

1st year, too hot to return to Florida, wisely sent Fickell in take the beating from his former team.
2nd year, NCAA Sanctions, bowl ineligibility.
3rd year, assjacking by shitty pass-happy SEC team, spelled doom.

Urban Meyer is 0-2 in B1G conference games at OSU.
1st year, NCAA Sanctions, CG ineligibility.
2nd year, beat-down by MSU, the newly crowned B1G flagship.

    • Interesting take on "facts". I knew a BCS Bowl loss would draw you out, OP! Good to see ya!

      • osu owes a boatload of royalty cash to UM for running the patented Rich Rod-esque defense against Clemson. Brand-On! is waiting at your practice field with his hand outstretched!

          • I'm trying to decide whether its more fun watching the SEC get whupped, or watching the Urban Myth lose two in a row ...

            Tough call.

and if Mich would have had a decent HS level OC, it would have been 3 in a row ...

            • It's scary to think how close osu came to representing the conference in the Championship game. The B1G would never have heard the end of that beat-down.

We all owe a debt of gratitude to MSU, (even the bucks), for avoiding that humiliation.

              • Big10=suck, except for MSU.

Since 2005 the conference has been shittastic.

When is this conference ever going to be relevant again?

When, as a conference, they get rid of AD's like Dave Brandon.

                    • The B10 currently has as many BCS Bowl wins in the past 5 years as ANY conference. The B10 is as powerful and valuable as any conference. I call that "relevant", but what do I know.

If "relevance" is merely defined as winning a national title, eh, the ACC and their sucktastic record is now on the verge of being the best conference in the country -- by SEC rules. LOL. In any event, OSU is on its way to a national title in the near future. Not much doubt about that. M fans will remain in painful denial and cling fiercely to their beloved Spartans and moral victories, but it's coming. Sorry.

It's quite possible that any team playing FSU is going to get a beatdown.

The Big10 overall bowl record is abysmal (but you know that).

2-5 last season, 2-6 this season and something like 26-47 since 2005.

The Big10 needs UM and PennSt to regain prominence

                            26-47 is pathetic.

Except for the one they are playing.

But what do I know? I thought osu was a good team.

                              • Difference between the top of the B10 (MSU, Ohio, Wisky) and the mediocre, middle (Iowa, Penn State, Michigan, Nebraska, Minnesota) isn't that dramatic. At least this season...

I expect Wisconsin to be the class of the 'West' next season, they return most everyone. Nebraska needs everyone to return (Bell, Abdullah, etc.) to compete with the Badgers. None of Minnesota, Iowa or Northwestern have heavy losses, so the West shouldn't be as weak as a lot expect...

In the East, the 'top' programs [Ohio, PSU, M] other than Sparty don't lose much, who loses a ton of talent. I expect Ohio to be the class of the East. I don't see a lot to differentiate the '2nd' class behind Ohio; PSU, Sparty & M.. No idea how good Rutgers, Maryland are but I think both will struggle a lot in the B10 and make up the bottom of the 'East' with Indiana.
