Two of three predictions hit. Clemson does have a good offense. But without Bryant, Roby and Spence they had no chance. Weird game. OSU had no business winning at half, but then had the gsme by the balls when Brown muffed the punt.
Oh well. On to next year.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I'll say the same thing I told the Michigan guys; you played scrappy, if not especially well, so it could have been worse. Most times you give up 577 yards and four turnovers, you don't lose by five points.
Trust me, I know of what I speak.

Eh. It'd be nice to see Miller be clutch once. But, I guess not.
Would have been nice to finish top 3, but love where the program is and going.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Last year LSU couldnt stop Boyd when it mattered. And they ran a competent scheme with a full cimpliment of players.
Withers replacement is huge. The defense has talent and lots of young talent. But it wont do much if it aint schemed properly.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

STCMission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Braxton is a holdover...and while he's a great athlete, he's definitely not the sharp operator Urb likes in the mold of Tebow and Alex Smith.
FWIW, he did say he shoulder and ribs were hurt on the 5th play of the game. Matt Millen's unfathomable and repeated use of the phrase "hurt buckaroo" aside, he was hurt. Still, on that last INT he had Brown open by a lot and underthrew the ball by even more.
Another FWIW, the staff loves JT Barrett. He is exactly the type of QB UFM/Herman want. And he's actually going through a normal progression -- learn the system/redshirt and then play.
Offense isn't a concern. Defense, TBH, isn't much of a concern vis-?-vis the B10. It's a massive concern in the national title scene. This particular game, however, isn't the one that raises the concerns. Clemson is really good offense. Hell, last season they torched FSU for 38. That defense found a way to improve. UFM's job 1 is replace Withers. I wouldn't be surprised to see that replacement take over DC responsibilities and Fickell demoted to position coach.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

And in other news, Lattimore and Smith should announce for OSU today. They are still in it for Solomon Thomas, though probably behind Stanford. Maybe 1 or 2 more in addition to Glenville kids. At this point, UFM and OSU are pretty much locks to have the consensus #1 class in the B10 every year. And they sure can coach offense!
Incidentally, Ohio State, as a program, is now 279-1 when scoring 35+ points. Man, I remember the days of fans bitching and moaning about "Tresselball". Heh.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
