Michigan's far above OSU in the alltime standings. Deal with it. I'll give Hoke some of the benefit of the doubt and say a lot of Michigan's worst arrests (like Feagin for dealing cocaine) took place under Rich Rod or Carr.
    OK. Fair enough.

By your (and UFM's) standards (using the Fulmer point system which, among other things, scores 1 point for a traffic ticket, 4 points for rape or bestiality, and 5 points for a murder), for every 4 traffic violations among U of M athletes, your guys (as long as they don't have any traffic tickets) are allowed an act of rape or bestiality and we'll call it even. Don't get caught, and you can do it again. Run (successfully) from the cops after that rape or act of bestiality, and you get yet another freebie.

By UFM's standards (and yours, too, I presume), just one additional traffic ticket at U of M, then skip the rape or act of bestiality and Meyer can allow his kids to murder, because, as we all know anyway, everybody murders.

Nice scoring system. Accurate measure of criminal activity. Facts. I get it now (I guess?).

Question for you Rob, how long after his players leave school is Brady Hoke still responsible for their behavior?

      • So Rob, let me see if I have this correct.

If four (4) Michigan players get traffic tickets, then one (1) ohio player can rape someone, and the all-important "Fulmer" thing calls it "even".

        Got it.

i dunno... i think i'd rather have my players get traffic tickets than be charged with rape ... but then again, that's just me ...

Ohhhhh. So you're starting to get it, huh, DSL? You must have read the part about scoring double for alumni of the program, right?

          • That point system again, in case anyone misssed it on the previous page:

            Points

Points are scored for each charge received by players (players must be on the team roster at the time of the offense). Alumni players receive double points.
The scoring for the Fulmer Cup is imprecise— murder is 5 points; rape, bestiality, and grand larceny are 4 points; assault et al. are 3; drug possession et al. are 2; and misdemeanors (including traffic violations) are 1 point.[4] Bonus points are awarded for arrests that occur under interesting and unusual circumstances.
In order to be eligible to win the Fulmer Cup, a school must have more than one player charged (a school may not win the cup on the basis of a single player's criminal record; this is known as the Ellis T. Jones III Rule, named after the San Jose State wide receiver who in 2006 accumulated 31 points by himself having been charged with 13 felony counts, including robbery, assault, and kidnapping). However, the Ellis T. Jones III Award for Individual Achievement is given to the player with the single highest point total.

              Precisely, Liney. PRECISELY.

              • And (as long as [theoretically] your coach can talk the prosecutors office into downgrading an incident of hitting a girl from a charge of felonious assault to a charge of misdemeanor assault) sometimes it is much more serious for a 320 lb lineman to dent a car hood by rolling over it, than it is to hit a girl. Point system says so, and our ohio friends agree!

                • Rob- Can you put together a comprehensive list of all the things M players have been arrested for over the past 7 years? Do you believe most are traffic or parking tickets?

Ah so now it comes to this. If Hyde is not charged with attempted murder and felonious assault, the only possible explanation is that the police are corrupt and being brow-beaten by Urban.

Might as well claim that Michigan players have had nothing worse than a speeding ticket over the past 30 years. If you're going to just make up bullshit, might as well go all out, Rob

                    • If your best bullshit is this bullshit Fulmer Cup crap you GLEEFULLY keep bringing up in the U of M Forum, then I might as well resort to bullshit, too, DSL.

                      • It's far more objective and substantive than anything you've posted, Rob. You can't even list which Michigan players have been arrested. I had to do that for you. My guess is you've got memorized every OSU player who has been arrested since 1981, but after about a week, a Michigan player's arrest gets forgiven and forgotten.

You resort to conspiracy theories and stubborn intransigence when confronted with the actual numbers. Michigan players get arrested just as often if not more often than OSU players. And not just for minor speeding offenses either. You've had drug dealers, players arrested for domestic violence, and sex crimes. So maybe you should come down off Mount Self-Righteous and recognize that your "pure" program has some issues and skeletons in the closet.

Now proceed to immediately jump back to NCAA violations and tats because that's a FAR more serious issue than selling cocaine.

Go back thru all that I've posted, Deep Shit Liar, and show me where and when I've posted ANYTHING claiming (or even implying) that Michigan players have had nothing worse than a speeding ticket over the past 30 years. You're completely missing my point here, that your Fulmer Cup BS is nothing but BS, while over and over again you've paraded it out as if it were some sort of scientific measurement of criminal behavior.

Who is really full of bullshit here?

                              • Again, it's more scientific and objective than anything posted by any M fan when you claim that OSU has a "thug problem" but Michigan does not. It was evidence presented that demonstrates that M has had quite a few more arrests than most of you probably think.

You were confronted with evidence that disproved a common Michigan fallacy and losing those cherished myths of moral superiority is crippling to the psyche of a Michigan Man.
