Sure, he's played but his passing average probably looks better than his completion percentage. I never thought he had command of the games he played against good competiton ...... a lot of that had to do with the bi-polar tendencies of the OC.
Until he proves he can manage an entire game and make the big plays against good defenses, he's less than a proven commodity. ND should be a good measure.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
Gardner will be much improved having gone an entire off-season and spring and fall camps as the #1 QB. The fact that he didn't even play the position last year until the Minnesota game cannot be understated, IMO. His ceiling is very high and he was already a better QB in the 5 games he played than Denard was after 3 years as a starter.
Gardner will be a lot like a sophomore QB who got forced into action as a freshman. He got some valuable experience, and has now had an entire off season to work on his game.
Oh .. and he just happens to be a very gifted athlete ...
Just in case I wasn't clear, I was only taking issue with the "proven" part. IMO, he isn't. I do think he'll be fine and probably amongst the top 3 QBs in the B10. Maybe top 4 (is Coulter back?).
I generally agree with the sentiment that he's going to be good.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
Appears the USS Urban Meyer "Flagship" was not only taking on water in the B1G, but now appears to have run aground in Florida!
KC McDermott, a 5-star offensive tackle, who has been committed to Miami since April of 2013, and tells Urbie repeatedly to get bent!
AK: What's the Urban Meyer story?
KM: The Urban Meyer thing was just funny to me. He came to my school a week after I told his assistant that I wasn't even interested in them. I told him no to his face, and it's got to be one of the top five reactions of someone ever. His facial expression was just so funny. My coach was tearing up and had to go in his office to laugh.
AK: Talk more about coach Meyer's face when you told him no. Was he mad, upset?
KM: More like the state of shock where the guy has literally never been told no in his life. It literally looked like a kid the first time you tell him 'no, you can't do something.' It looked like he was a baby about to cry. It was so funny.
5-Star Miami Commit Kc McDermott Talks Recruiting, and Turning Down Urban Meyer
Uh, your 5 days late with this one, OP. M-faithful already posted last week. UFM on verge of meltdown. OSU in deep trouble. Etc.
Personally, I'll wait for UFM to lose a gme at OSU or finish with something other than the best recruiting class in the B10 and top 4 nationally before I go into full panic mode. But, obviously these are dark times for OSU and UFM.
BTW, how many months do you think it will be before UFM loses a game as OSU head coach? So, obviously it has to be more than 20. I'm thinking he may actually go 24+ months from date of hire before losing a game as OSU head coach. Maybe longer if Notre Dame or some other non-The Nick school can weasel into the title game!
But, boy, when he (if) he does lose as OSU head coach, the meltdown will be epic. I doubt he or OSU will survive.

Winter or summer, see the mountains around Whistler from a new angle on the incredible PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, now with access to the Peak Suspension Bridge. It's the ultimate mountain sightseeing experience.
?I don?t take vacations. I don?t get sick. I don?t observe major holidays. I?m a jackhammer.?
That sounds like a good time. But ya gotta do some climbing! That's part of the fun of a MTB -- the granny gears! Ok, so most of the fun is going downhill on trails.
If I lived a little closer to some good trails, I'd buy a mountain bike. As it is, my next purchase will bring The Talent into the 21st century with a carbon fiber bike.
In the meantime, my brother and I did a cracking good 100 on Sunday at an over 20 average. You may love MTB in Banff, which I'm sure is spectacular, but man do I love riding with 6-7 riders that can fly. So much fun doing 24-25 without trying.

Whatever you might think about the Big Ten's performance on the football field, you have to acknowledge this: the league is doing a great job in the classroom.
