FACT: Ohio has dominated the series the last 10+ years, not dissimilarly to M the decade or so before. Breaking the dominance into multiple lines, repeatedly, is demonstration and confirmation of retardation.

FACT: There is a difference in the culture of the institutions (I am not even claiming one is better than the other -- just different). Please show me any objective individual who would think Mary Sue Coleman and Gordon Gee would handle things in the same way.

FACT: The retrospective pain level experienced by the fan bases of the two institutions as a result of the periods of domination are not equivalent, due to the mitigating circumstances (outlined by hack)

FACT: M fans take great delight in noting that the Sweatervest hero was exposed to be a fraud and an asterisk has been placed on the decade of flagship dominance. This is not some delusionistic mechanism, just a statement of FACT.

RECOMMENDATION to M fans: Ignore the drivel in DSL and Talent's posts. Try to sift through to find the occasional useful tidbits, until they can be replaced by a classy Ohio fans (all 1 or 2 of them).

I think OSU has the best chance, thought I don't think anyone is a favorite. OSU has lost out on OL to ND a bunch. Also, Sparty is a darkhorse.
