I love it when M fans call their pretend shit facts. Oh, the desperate need to escape REALITY.
Quick lesson on FACTS:
*Ohio State has won B10 football championships in 6 of the past 8 years. And, of course, was by far and away the best team in the league this season and proud Leaders Division Champs!
*Ohio State hoops has won B10 regular season championships in 5 of the past 8 years. Unfortunately, M choked to cost them 6 of 8.
*Ohio State has won B10 tournament 4 times in the past 8 years. No other B10 school has won it more than once.
*Since 2005, Ohio State has won 11 football/basketball championships in 16 tries and 4 tournament titles in 8 tries for a total of 15 out of 24. Michigan State and Wisconsin are second with 5 total championships, followed by Penn State, who won 2.
*Ohio State remains the ONLY B10 schools to even play in a BCS Title game. They've done it 3 times.
Ohio State's dominance in the revenue sports is indisputable. Total domination.
But in non-revenue sports, Ohio State fairs nearly as well.
*Ohio State has been the highest ranked B10 school in the Sears Director's Cup 4 times since 2005 (4 out of 7), though they appear likely to drop to 4 of 8 this season.
*Ohio State has finished in the top 4 each of the past two years and hasn't been outside the top 12 in any season since 2005.
*Ohio State offers 36 varsity sports, the most in the country.
Well that's how it starts -- you construct an alternate state in which you do not have to process reality as it stands. It ends with you unshaven, wearning torn clothing and reeking of the dumpster you slept in last night.
I desperately wish that I could agree with this, and it is often the case, but sometimes the alternate reality gains such widespread momentum that it becomes accepted, and instead of a moment of reckoning, you get an "Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia" type of Twilight Zone insanity that prevails.

I dunno, Hanni. I think it's pretty likely that the alternate reality will fail and M fans, and CFB fans in general, will have to reckon with the fact that OSU replaced Coach Tressel with UFM and the juggernaut got even better.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
I agree that we're going to have to reckon with it. Thus far it appears the most important tools we'll need for that include the ability to snigger at your cheat-yet-still-lose approach and an approach in which we enjoy wins now and derive contentment from the knowledge that again soon we will enjoy watching this blow up in mess of crime and depravity.
Word of caution regarding those few Ohioans that remain precariously in this world and have not sought refuge in that blissful, parallel fantasy universe.....they are not wrapped too tight...bustin' springs all over the place.
The shooting took place in Middlefield, Ohio on March 10. The suspect was killed when officers returned fire. Gilkerson ran a stop sign, and the sirens blared behind him. Instead of a routine police encounter, Gilkerson chose to come out guns blazing, firing 37 rounds from an AK-47 rifle at the officers.
The two officers, Brandon Savage and Erin Thomas, fired 54 rounds back at Gilkerson, killing him. Ohio officials released the dash cam footage on Friday.
Warning, this is a pretty wild shootout

One of the books found in James Gilkerson’s car after his fatal shootout with police in Middlefield, Ohio, was called “Life Promises For Success by Jim Tressel” It’s not clear from the video released this week that Gilkerson read that one.

Well you can sell ``Life Promises'' and others like it because you know it will sell and also that no one will ever read it because most of the buyers are not literate. It's a for-show accomplishment, like talent's list. Most of the people that matter in this case (the idiot Ohioans funding the whole thing) can't tell the difference between what's real and what's not anyways, so you can cheat your ass off and they won't care.
