  • I am encouraged, Hokeanderthal no longer has his best QB running wide-receiver routes or delivering pizzas, many anticipate a title run this fall as a result.

No doubt Robinson was entertaining to watch run, particularly when countless Fickell boys would chase him in a futile effort, godspeed to the NFL, DR. I expect Gradner next fall to enjoy the very same pleasure, en route to Pasadena.

What's that, OSU losing in AA? Agree.

      • You keep forgetting, Oracle.

He's from ohio. Everything "Michigan" sucks.

        Keep that in mind.

That, and when they think they are the "flagship" ... lol

Seriously, boys, let's be real here.

Miller is two levels above Gardner. Miller can beat you, I don't think Gardner is that kind of QB.

I don't know how this is going to play out but my gut, with all the bias incorporated, thinks ufm's approach to offense (assuming it continues and does not evolve) is going to be osu's Achilles Heel.

Yeah, he likes to run the ball and he liked to run it at UF too but he had an up-tempo style of play that relied on the strategy of increasing points per possession, so does Rodriguez and meyer is in that camp if not in a different way. He understands defense! ufm does like to spread the field but its more edge to edge than vertically. That was the case at UF with Tebo and I think LC provided a pretty good template of how to defeat that approach in his last game against urban.

I think the price of that sort of approach is pressure on your defense. They're out there a lot over a 60 minute game. Sure, that built in defect can be overcome with talent on D .... the kind that can get the D off the field with a lot of three and outs.

I think that's a risky strategy in the Big Ten with osu's primary opponents, and esp. Michigan, playing man ball with all the attendant ball control, clock winding, beat the defense to a pulp by the end of the 3rd aspects inherent in that football approach.

By outscoring them in a shootout? LOL. BTW, I remember the hilariously mormonic schtick about how UFM can't be M, too. That was a classic.

At least you got this part right.

Anyway, it's been 8 out of 9, soon be 9 out of 10. Tick tock tick tock.

But, hey, Hoke is every bit the coach Saban is....according to some... LMMFAO.

Wait. Why did ufm start throwing the ball all over the place? Because frigging (God damn his sole) Ron English, aka. Jim Hermman Jr., figured out how to stuff the Tebo spread. Did Michigan win that game?

                    Uhh, yes. LMFAO.

..... and lest you not forget. The Game is in AA in 2013. Right now, just looking at rosters and coaching staffs, I'd put M at -3.

Granted, Borges may shit a brick in 2013 and if he does, that betting line is off. But I like Mattison v. Fickle and The Game usually comes down to defense, and running the ball. If Borges is as good as he thinks he is, I like the Michigan offense that appears to be on the way.

                    • 35 points is 35 points. And I'm not sure what constitutes "stuffing the Tebo spread", but if it's 230 yards rushing on 32 carries, well, ok....

But, yes, Mattison dominated last year as OSU was held to mere 207 yards on 50 carries of up your ass football.

I'll take OSU +3 all day and all night. That's likely a gift of 6-10 points from where the line will actually be.

Sorry, Buchanan, as it's been 8 of the past 9 seasons, the FLAGSHIP is just better.

                      • Well, clearly ufm is the better coach and there is no question his squad is more talented. So, Yeah, I guess -3 appears to you to be a gift.

Frankly, I don't give a shit what the line is ...... as long as an M win shuts your pie-hole for a year.

Is osu actually eligible for the post-season in 2013/14? Why, damn, I guess it is.

                        Flagship, indeed.

                        • The continued use of "Mormonic" reminds me of the time my 5-year old nephew heard the response to the query, "What are you eating under there?" It was funny a few times hearing him yell "under where!"
