  • Obit excerpt:

While I was in Florida I stayed on lovely Miami Beach, on Collins Avenue to be exact. The first place I wanted to take my kids was Wolfie's Restaurant. This place was the best for anyone who loves a hefty corned beef sandwich with a decent potion of outstanding potato salad and a bowl of excellent pickles. Unfortunately the place is now closed! Why am I talking about Wolfie's????
Well it use to be a Miami Beach hangout for not only Meyer Lansky (who had his own booth there), but for the Rat Pack as well.

When Frank Sinatra and his Rat Pack played the now-defunct Marco Polo Hotel, they'd always stop at this beach-deli landmark. This place was always heavy on the kitsch, but light on the wallet. There you could get a great meal for a song. Just before it's closure I'm told it became the spot for insomniacs and club kids. R.I.P. Wolfie's.

    • congrats, Talent ... didn't think ol' rosy cheeks and company had it in them.

I stand corrected about Ohio ... a better team than I have given them credit for so far this year.

      • guess, Urban must have known Pittman was leaving for awhile, since his departure puts the bucks at the scholly limit.

Ohio State is looking for help along its defensive line this spring after losing all four starters from the 2012 team.Redshirt freshman defensive end Se'Von Pittman won't be filling one of the spots.

        • Let me see if I can get the OlieO comments straight here...

          1. With all the great talent at OlieO, Pittman isn't needed anyway

          2. He was destined for the lower level of the depth chart at his position

          3. He didn't put up enough effort to "heal" quicker

          4. He was only signed to keep him away from Michigan, even though his second choice was MSU

          5. Meyer needed to "bank" that scholarship for next season

          ... I'm sure there are others ...

          I'm sure I missed a couple

              • And OSU is what o-for against the SEC? fuck the Bucks. (it really is poetic justice that you buckeyes had to forfuet the only victory you've ever had against the SEC!)

                • Riding SEC coattails? I'm sure that'll give you comfort all through the long, cold winter, after Pope Urban excommunicates that bumbling oaf Hoke yet again.

unbeaten team in the history of the BCS! but what would one expect from such a dumb shit!

                        • If losing to an SEC team once every four years or so is the price we must pay for grinding your faces into the mud on an annual basis, then that's a price I'm willing to pay.

                            Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

                              • B10 already knows whose leaving M, whether by injury or transferring...

If I were you, I'd be more worried about Bama who was at 95 scholarships on signing day.
