Yup. All while thumbing his nose at the buffoons who run the university and think they know better. It would have been both a return to tradition and a lovely combo of shit and puke dumped on the establishment. Would have been so sublime.

There has never been any sort of confirmation that Harbaugh was seriously interested in a return to M. Everything that took place following his final season at Stanford had him heading to the NFL. He may have used the "idea" of returning to Michigan as a bargaining chip with NFL teams, but I doubt that he ever gave serious thought to returning to Ann Arbor. He had just recently married a gal from the west coast, and she wasn't interested in moving to the midwest.
So, put away the knives. No suicide is necessary. Harbaugh is where he wanted to be all along.
Same goes for Miles. He had his chance. He chose to stay put. Case closed on him too.I don't always roll a joint, but when I do, its usually my ankle

That's where we stand. Happy New Year!
Well consider yourself more fortunate than DSL anyway.
Apparently DSL and his “life partner” were tying the knot in the End Zone of The Shoe, when groundskeeper Willie prematurely lowered the pipe during the civil ceremony nuptials , killing the 350 lb “pole-smoker” dead, instantly.
Of course the Bucknut Cheer Squad buried him with full honors.
I guess that would help explain DSL’s bad-tempered and combative disposition as of late.
When DSL was reached for comment: "Look, homosexuals die everyday especially in the Red State of Ohio, it's a honor to finally "bite it" in The Shoe, that is all."
Happier times:

With respect to the issue of assessing the quality and character of osu fans and citizens of the state of ohio, this photo says it all.
Well done, OP.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Trey Johnson to OSU tonight and Mike Mitchell tomorrow. James Quick? Who knows? Would love to have him, though.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

So, an add-on to the M player discussion, who are your all-time most hated Ohio State players?
The flip side, for me -- my favorite OSU players I watched and remember well, in chronological order: Chris Carter, Eddie Georgie, Antoine Winfield, AJ Hawk, Ted Ginn, Troy Smith and Cam Heyward.
Eddie George probably has the edge over all of them because I was at his game against Illinois when, as a frosh, he fumbled twice inside the Illinois 5 (one returned 95 yards for a TD, the other returned into FG range) that directly caused an OSU 18-16 loss, and I was there in 1995 against Illinois when he ran for 314.
Antoine Winfield is my favorite defensive player. My favorite game he ever played was in 1997 at EL where he was just spectacular in run-support. The best OSU defensive back I've ever seen at run-support and one of the best tacklers OSU has ever had (and he wasn't half bad in coverage). Good guy, too, by all accounts.
Chris Carter made me want to play WR. Genetics made me a LB/TE, but good lord, watching him make Fat Karsotas look good was amazing.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Yeah, for M fans my age, the OSU players almost have to come from the 2000s. I don't remember any one OSU player beating M in the 1980s. I imagine there are players from the 70s and 60s that would make the list, but I never watched them.
For the 2000s, it's hard to think of player who wrecked M more than Troy Smith.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
