  • Hey how did you douche bags like your bowl game?

    • They beat us in their "bowl" game.

      Or, so I've been told.

      • As I suspected would be the case, M won as many bowl games as Ohio State did this season.

8-5 is solid foundation to build upon.

BTW, Liney, again, let me just pat you on the back. You kept saying UFM would never lose a game, and I thought you were just being silly, perhaps even using a bit of saracastic hyperbole. But hell if you haven't been dead balls right so far! And shit, looking at 2013, you may keep being right about that for a looooooong time.

        Well done, sir.

        • Meanwhile, at least 3 kids are announcing on Saturday that may/will choose Ohio State.

Mike Mitchell and Trey Johnson are locks.

James Quick is still a mystery.

Mitchell and Johnson are fantastic gets at a position of need. Quick would be a fantastic addition, especially in an UFM-Herman offense.

Chris Worley is also a lock for this class. Shelton Gibson is, apparently, teetering on making the grade or heading elsewhere. His talent is really, really good. Finally, Vonn Bell is still very much in the mix. And I suppose they want another OL.

So, if I had to guess: Mitchell, Johnson, Worley are IN. Quick, Gibson and Bell are maybes for different reasons. And their might be 1 more OL.

For the the pure "recruiting standings" folks, OSU is poised to make another late season push upward. Scout only counts your best 25 to the team standings. So, if you're, say aTm with 47 recruits, you only improve by as much as is the difference between the new signee and whatever recruit is rated 25th in your class. Ohio State only has 19, so every new commit is "full value." With Rivals, it's only top 20. So, most teams are only adding "marginal" points to their team total. Mitchell will be a total add. Plus they have a punter rated at 5.2 and an OL at 5.4 that will come off the books for much more highly-regarded players.

Anyway, that stuff is just fun. Getting really good players that fit needs -- that's what counts. War UFM.

          • Where will Michigan be hanging their Outback Steakhouse Bowl Certificate of Participation so that I might gaze upon it in envy the next time I'm in Ann Arbor?

            • Right next to the gold pants for the 2010 "win" over Michigan.

                • Well, what can I say?

You guys have perfected the art of cheating in CFB and taken it to new heights. You've shown that cheating pays dividends. Your players and head coach can cheat, avoid serious penalties, hire a new coach, and still play undefeated football. You probably have the only athletic program in the B1G that has the "respect" of the SEC. In addition, OlieO has people within the NCAA that looks out for your interests, to make sure that when your cheating ways come to light, that nothing of any real consequence happens. Your program has actually, tangibly, benefited from Jim Tressel's cheating and lies. Outstanding.

So, reach around and pat yourselves on the back. Nobody cheats better than you guys. Nobody. And you get scoreboard to boot.

                  Well done, sir.

                  • And off we go to fantasyland. Again.

Just trying to congratulate your shrewd prescience, Liney. Kudos on nailing UFM's dominance.

Meanwhile, back in the real, factual world Ohio State continues its unquestioned role as the FLAGSHIP:

*Ohio State has won B10 football championships in 6 of the past 8 years. And, of course, was by far and away the best team in the league this season.

*Ohio State has won B10 regular season championships in 5 of the past 7 years. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll get to the lofty 6 of 8 football has established.

*Ohio State has won B10 tournament 3 times in the past 7 years. No other B10 school has won it more than once.

*Since 2005, Ohio State has won 11 football/basketball championships in 15 tries. Michigan State and Wisconsin are second with 4 total championships, followed by Penn State, who won 2.

*Ohio State remains the ONLY B10 schools to even play in a BCS Title game. They've done it 3 times.

*Ohio State has been to two Final Fours in the past 7 years. The rest of the B10, i.e., MSU, has been to 2.

Ohio State's dominance in the revenue sports is indisputable. Total domination.

But in non-revenue sports, Ohio State fairs nearly as well.

*Ohio State has been the highest ranked B10 school in the Sears Director's Cup 4 times since 2005 (4 out of 7).

*Ohio State has finished in the top 4 each of the past two years and hasn't been outside the top 12 in any season since 2005.

*Ohio State offers 36 varsity sports, the most in the country.

                    In AD-related current events:

*Ohio State is taking a somewhat controversial step to monitor players: http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/story/21389278/is-checking-on-players-accounts-going-too-far-not-at-ohio-state
*Ohio State is likely to be a preseason top 5 if not top 2: http://www.athlonsports.com/college-football/very-early-college-football-top-25-2013

Finally, Brady Hoke, as of today, has still yet to win a conference title as a head coach. 10 years and counting: [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brady_Hoke"]Brady Hoke - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

                    Just the FACTS.

                    FLAGSHIP.

                    • Yeah the greatest fact is that despite what these two douche bags think, there isn't a single Oshitu fan totally pissed and screwed by the fact that Oshitu lost a shot at the MNC because of the idiots in charge of the athletic dept. Sorta like masturbating into your own hand eh Talent and Dr Stangelove? Hang your " division title" banner in the space vacated by the nonexistent 2010 season. You deserve it!

LOL. That's what I sort of envision through, well, experience. It cracks me up to ignore his best efforts at bitter old man.

                                Liney:

None of those FACTS are new. They are, nonetheless, FACTS. I simply like to balance out the loopy, bitter M ginned up bullshit with FACTS.

Though, as noted, I admit when I'm wrong. And I was wrong and you were right about UFM. I thought he'd be good, but you had him pegged as dominant. Kudos.
