LOL. Not a single OSU OL picked by coaches for 1st or 2nd team. Gotta like UFM winning with his undertalented offense!

Heh. Yeah, he's not.
I guess it's possible the whole was greater than the sum of the parts. But, I thought OSU did a really nice job of running the ball this season, and I thought Norwell and Mewhort were particularly good.
Oh well. The offense led the league in points, and the coaches didn't pick a single OSU player for the first team. Just wait until UFM gets some talent!Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Another quick (I'd say final, but we know that won't be true) comment on The Game. With Simon tragically out, OSU had to call on some of the pups to play againt M. Adolphus Washington definitely made his prescence felt. Spence played a lot at end. And Schutt saw a decent amount of action. Really, really love that class of DL. Bennett, a sophmore, also played well -- and was about as healthy as he's been all year.
On the recruiting front, OSU's class is going to get a massive shot in the arm at LB. UFM was typically frank in yesterday's press conference when asked about next year's team -- linebacker is an area of real weakness. Hellfire, a fullback that hadn't played that position since high school was a massive upgrade. With only Shazier back, that unit will be the HUGE question mark. Anywho, Ohio State feels very good about landing:
Mike Mitchell: #34 Scout, #32 Rivals, #100 247
Trey Johnson: #80 Rivals
They also like Camren Williams a bunch. It's less than ideal, but that least they're two highly regarded need-based recruits.
Speaking of need-based recruits, James Quick, I think, will be a Buckeye. If Strong bolts from Louisville, it's 100%. Quick and Marshall=big time.
Not sure how the rest of class plays out. I'd almost guarantee Chris Worley from Glenville is in the class (WLB). And Shelton Gibson is in the class if his grades are there. Another burner at WR.
OSU is at 17. I think they could go up to 24-25.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

The bonus to Mike Mitchell is his brother is a superstar PF in the class of 2015. Unfortunately, he had a rough knee injury this season, but going into the season, he was a top 5 player on several lists -- and damn near a lock for Coach Matta.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
