Certainly agree, both are good defenses but not great like the numbers suggest. Both had issues with teams that can attack the perimeter and both of us have the speed to do so.
Every time I think that the ohio fans here are actually a pair of decent guys, I remember that it is still telling in life to judge someone by the company they keep. We're gonna beat your goofy second-rate clusterthug of a joke of a team in your own creaky shithole venue. You people will have the humiliation of cheating but still losing. Get used to it.
Would definitely like to beat ohio next week, but not sure it matters as far as our bowl destination. We need to get another win in the snake pit, just so we can show them that it can be done.
Nebraska will roll Iowa, so the CCG is out of the question. I think we're headed for Tampa win or lose.
I predicted 8-4 back in August, and it looks like that's going to happen. Not a bad season considering the difficulty of the schedule, and the roster being made up of 50% Rodriguez signees.
Right now, I'd make ohio about a 9-point favorite. Not sure Fitz would have made that much of a difference, but I don't see V. Smith or T. Rawls making up for the disparity.
Gardner could make them sweat a bit. Not sure what Denard's role will be, or if he can even be effective.

the amazing thing is if, the Domers go down next week and there is no other undefeated team ... it is possible Ohio could lay claim to the AP national title.
No doubt Gene fucked it up last season. But the reality is Ohio State isn't good enough to win a BCS Title. Sure, they're the class of the B10 as they almost always are. But that doesn't mean a great deal.
As for the AP national title, it won't happen. Ohio State can (and will) probably finish around #3. And that's a good season. Hell, it's higher than M has ever finished in this century. So, a decent first run for UFM.
As I said, I though Liney's talk about "St. Urban" never losing a game was just hyperbole. Heh.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
