Maybe. Seeing that the selection committee is stacked with OlieO sympathizers, it will likely happen.
have a B1G award named after him,
Ummmm... no.
and eventually be recognized as one of the conference's greatest coaches in the post Woody/Bo era.
Within the state of OlieO, .. yes. In fact he's already attained that. In the rest of the B1G and college football world, he will be recognized as Jeff stated. He will be the Mark McGwire/Barry Bonds of college football. Everyone will have to recognize the record, but put up with the stench of cheating.
If there was an honest man amongst you, he would admit that, more than anything else, it was the fact that he beat Michigan again and again that generated such hatred of him and not the the violations.
I could say the same thing about you OlieO fans, and the 1990's. Gary Moeller and Lloyd Carr put together a string of victories over OlieO that you guys hated so much, that you decided to start the series won/lost record at 0-0 when Saint Jim came on board.
I'm consistently on record as not "hating" Coach Tressel, and I stand by that today. I've never hated the man, and I've never hated any man, for that matter. However, I dislike the man for the image that he worked so hard to sell, that being of a Christian man, who stood for high morals, good sportsmanship and fair play, .. only to discover that in reality, he stooped to cheating, lying and deceit, in order to squeeze out a few more football victories.
To my pea-brained way of thinking, I believe that a man's morals and beliefs should come BEFORE accomplishments on a football field, and not vice-versa. In other words, Coach Tressel should have been willing to actually LOSE a couple football games, in order to maintain his strong moral standards. If eliminating the rule-breakers from his team cost him a victory or two, he should have been willing to pay that cost, in order to maintain his integrity as a Christian, and as a leader of young men. Instead, Coach Tressel sold out any beliefs he may have had, in order to squeeze out few more college football victories. In doing so, he ended up destroying his image as a man who was dedicated to honesty, fairness and integrity. He turned out to be just another coach who lied and cheated, in order to get ahead.
If that's what you folks in Ohio want to honor, then be my guest. Its absolutely no skin off my nose. I don't have to live there.
And I get it. Dishonesty is acceptable, as long as it leads to more victories over Michigan. I understood that a long time ago.

LTT did something stupid and is trying to deflect blame by playing the victim. Pussy.
And the FEAR grows. It's just fantastic to watch.
I'm truly disappointed in your response, Talent----you're usually better than that. I think some valid points were made over the last few posts, and that's all you can come up with?
For the record, here's where I am on the current and ongoing chapter of the feud:
No problem with LTT's twitter showing the burning of that letter. LTT had already turned UFM down after giving his verbal commitment to Hoke; while there is obviously is no such thing anymore as a "gentleman's agreement" regarding recruiting, it looks and sounds like LTT had already made it clear he was firmly committed to Michigan and Meyer should have known that. On a scale of 1-to-10 , I'd rate LTT's twitter maybe a 5 or 6 at tops as far as being inflammatory, no pun intended.
Fans with half-a-brain or more should find it humorous in most cases and, at worst, mildly annoying but something not out-of-the-ordinary coming from a teenager with social media access. I would hope that most bucknut fans would take it that way; from the response I'm seeing, though, the wack-job idiots are dominating, making the most noise over their self-perceived butthurt. And the death threats? If the senders of those can be identified, the authorities need to get them off the streets.
Kyle Bosch's response in inexcusable, IMO. I hope and trust Hoke is dealing with it properly and that Bosch gets a strong message that he's gonna be held to a much higher standard from here on.
Barry Switzer and Jimmy Johnson are in the college HOF. Just sayin
Rob. Yer post was long on words and short on facts. Typical of the many accusations against Coach Tressel
Did you read the entire thing, DSL? This part in particular?:
I don't think I have to do anything more than list their names; to list the many violations, illegal benefits received, etc., associated with their names would require a separate thread and a ton of time.
I think you're well-versed in the facts of the cases of Mo and Troy, but in complete denial , as I expected...
Rob, this isn't a "serious" thread. That much has been made clear to me, repeatedly.
Facts are facts. Tressel owned your ass. LTT acted like a bitch and is now playing victim. Good luck tracking down those "death threats" - honestly, LMAO.
I would say that LTT probably posted what he did with the intention of provoking OSU fans, the twitter equivalent of trolling, whatever that may be called. Probably wasn't expecting the over-the-top response, but it wasn't some innocent "yay school pride!" thing either.
Bosch has already apologized from what I understand
BTW, feel free to list the "many" violations associated with Troy Smith. I can understand why you gloss over that LIE. The M dishonesty never ceases to amaze me.
But that's not as much fun to watch as the FEAR. That's a blast. And it's pandemic up north!
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
DSL---Here's a timeline on Tressel (from a Cleveland rag), giving a decent overview of the Senator and his ways, and including some of the proven and alleged violations related to Mo and Troy:
Social media is an effin nightmare. I'm sure Hoke is none too pleased with any of this shit.
In truth, Hoke prob thinks what LTT did was stupid. Needlessly provoking the fanbase's idiots.
Hoke's recruits may be less disciplined and less willing to go about their way in a businesslike manner in the way Rich Rod's guys were. Seems they like to run their mouths...a lot
