You would think Coach Hoke wouldn't want his recruits continuing to make taunting statements and threatening the public with guns. But maybe that's the new style at Michigan.
Tressel will go into the college Hall of Fame, have a B1G award named after him, and eventually be recognized as one of the conference's greatest coaches in the post Woody/Bo era.
Fucking hillarious ....... at least our resident osu buffoons seem to now understand what the purpose of this thread is: rip osu and then get to listen to the meager defenses of these two.
Entertaining.
I don't know how any reasonable CFB fan can defend jim tressel. I get he was a great football coach .... and Mark Mcguire was a great baseball player, right?. He broke Roger Marris' single season MLB Home Run record and now Barry Bonds holds it. Those two have to be reverred for what they did in sports, yes?
F .... osu. Forever to be remembered as cheaters. Forever.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
Tressel was hated by Michigan fans long before 2010, when the rule-breaking became known. If there was an honest man amongst you, he would admit that, more than anything else, it was the fact that he beat Michigan again and again that generated such hatred of him and not the the violations.
His achievements are many and the stuff of legends, Jeff. He will be in the HOF. That he continues to be brought up as the topic of discussion reveals just how far under the skin of Michigan clods he got.
Onto something more timely...Michigan recruit Kyle Bosch has challenged Buckeye fans to a fight and promises to bring his gun....thoughts?
Even though he's only something like 17-18, Kyle Bosch's comments were definitely in poor taste and regrettable. What's more disturbing are the supposed adults of buckeye nation who are taunting said 17-18 year olds with death threats to both LTT and his mom that spurred on those regrettable comments...thoughts?
What do you mean that is is blown out of proportion?
The whole burning of the letter thing. Devin Gardner did the same thing when he was being recruited, never got the same run because twitter wasn't as big, even tho he may have done his on facebook...either way, the whole situation is rather played out, including(especially) whatever character DSL is trying to play.

...key phrase here being, "when the rule-breaking became known. " As long as Tressel and his bosses could keep things hidden, though, they pretty much got away with everything and anything, as you inadvertantly admit by stating, "...2010, when the rule-breaking became known."
Thanks, DSL, for finally manning up and admitting what nearly all buckeyes and bucknut faithful are in denial of, that Tressel had been cheating for years, just that he hadn't been caught until 2010.
Just in case, though, that you revert to pleading ignorance, I submit the following 2 names , as the most visable examples: Mo Clarett & Troy Smith. I don't think I have to do anything more than list their names; to list the many violations, illegal benefits received, etc., associated with their names would require a separate thread and a ton of time.
I'm sure you'll answer back (correctly, BTW) with a claim that the charges and allegations against the osu program and these 2 individuals were never proven---but you cannot run and hide from the fact that the NCAA has practically no power to properly investigate such charges, no power whatsoever to issue subpoenas and require testimony; in other words, the NCAA is as toothless as an organization can be, and as a result, dropped the cases because of a lack of cooperation on the part of the accused. Clarett and Smith and Tressel and osu got away with all those violations that occurred because they shamelessly KNEW all along that nearly all Cheaters DO Prosper when it comes to NCAA violations...
