Apparently, Neal replaced Love, who had a great visit in Lincoln with the Mooney boys. Great job on Love by those guys.

Clash:
I guess he is teetering. He told UFM he'd commit today, but things have apparently changed since the weekend. It happens. It's a big decision.
In other news, I guess Quick was really favoring Arky because of Petrino, who still, apparently, carried a lot of weight in town. OSU has filled that void for the time being, but it is wide open, IMO.Last edited by iam416; April 23, 2012, 08:17 PM.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I also hear he may visit Miami again this weekend. Sounds to me like he's just having a really hard time deciding/telling 2 schools no. Apparently, he was really recruiting Anzalone and Bosa hard over the weekend and was all Buckeye and said he'd announce it Monday. That's what the "insider" was going from. But some kids get caught up in the visit.
I'd love to see him at OSU. He's supposed to be a really great kid and he's obviously talented. But, OSU already has a really good TE coming and tight numbers. If he doesn't come, that's fine. I'd trade your boys Heuerman for Jaylon Smith!Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Nice.
This is not going away. At least not around here.
Lairs! Cheeters!
Serious question for you and talent .....
Lets say at the end of the 2012 season, the B1G and PAC12 starting making noise that they are going to leave the BCS (or whatever it ends up being in the post BCS Championship era) to form their own CFB league with the Rose Bowl crowning the league championship?
This is not as far fetched as it might appear. You've got two conferences with strong academically oriented programs who disrespect what's going on in the SEC (and the Big 12) and where CFB is headed in general and are willing (1) to shit can the little guys (all 90 of them lets say) and (2) "take a step back" (at least they'll cloak it that way) and negotiate separate TV deals and/or fashion inter-league play on the respective conference networks.
ufm likes national exposure and the big time spot light, right?. If something like this were to happen, i.e., the B1G and PAC12 take an Ivy league approach to CFB, would urban stay or defect to the SEC seeing the grass greener as far as national exposure goes?Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. It is, actually, more far-fetched than it appears.
Btw, Brady Hoke likes big-time football and all its trappings, too. So did Bo. That's why you leave non-limelight programs for the show.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Brady likes Michigan because its Michigan. And Michigan was hardly in the limelight when he took the job. In fact, our neighbors to the south pretty much considered (and still do) our program to be in the toilet.
So there.
I think Jeff's scenario is a possibility, and the B1G, Pac-12 and the Rose Bowl are going to do everything imaginable to make it look like a reality, .. if the new version of the BCS is not to their liking.
Maybe its a bluff, ... but its not a bluff if you really are holding a great hand.I don't always roll a joint, but when I do, its usually my ankle
