  • They lost a lot of quality on offense. Anyone who was worth a damn besides Stoneburner or Miller. And there's a good chance that Stoneburner won't be much of a factor.

      No. UFM loves Stoneburner.

WR is a huge question mark. As is, honestly, QB.

RB and OL will be fine.

        • Fingers crossed, Hanni.

As for Spring Game, apparently 47,000 tickets have been sold. Weather doesn't look all too favorable for huge walk up crowd, so dreams of 100,000 are dead. Probably more like 75,000 if there's no rain.

As for recruiting, the biggest thing I'm watching is whether they can make big inroads with James Quick.

                  • The 2013 schedule is the payoff for taking the hardest cross-division schedule possible in 2011-12

Spring game today! Hopefully it will be more impressive that Michigan's squalid affair, an event so devoid of talent that even the Rock of Hoke was moved.

                    • Bah.

You should be hoping that no one in turbin's circle of trust has headed out in town for a tat or two ..... with an armload of soiled football equipment in exchange ....... driving loaner used cars with the windows blacked out ......... enroute to the links for a round of golf.

                      Shameful conduct. Shameful.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                      • I tuned in for about 3 mins of the OlieO spring game. It was about all I could stand.

Looked like a lot of empty seats there.

..and their uniforms are still ugly ..

                        • Great day for Ohio State. Anzalone is in. Bosa will be in, maybe by tonight. Heuermann will be in by the end of the week at the latest. Still hoping for a good impression Quick. On the hoops front, Della Valle is in and they're looking good for at least one of two SEC transfers -- huge additions when you're at 9 scholarship players.

As for the game itself, it's a spring game like all others. I was, however, very encouraged by the offense. They could be average this year!

Yeah, sucky weather. People kept filing in and they ended up with 81,000, which is probably about 50,000 more than M had. A nice day would have seen a near sellout. And I do mean sellout -- can't get in without a ticket and the tickets cost $7.50 in advance and $15 at the gate. So, all-in-all, a strong showing from the Buckeye faithful even though they were 20,000 short of cracking 100K. Next year.

Things are resplendent out in the "wilderness".

                            • With a BLACK CLOUD hanging over the Ohio State program of course there is interest, rogue programs on probation are always under a microscope. First, malfeasance by the "Senator" and now disturbing accusations about Meyer and his tenure at Florida have clearly taken their toll.

Silver Lining sure I guess?!? Well "Community Service" is second nature with a roster comfortable living on the wrong side of law....at least this longstanding tradition remains, picking trash.

Ohio State spring game loser sentenced to community service

There's almost always something on the line during a spring game. A steak dinner versus porridge or watching the loser perform and embarrassing act. Or, in the case of Ohio State, the loser of Saturday's spring game will be sentenced … Continue reading →
