Is 2004 the year the rivalry truly turned? OSU was having a down year and had struggled badly on offense until midway through the year Troy Smith replaced Zwick for good.

This was the year Troy's legend began. The year Ted Ginn made his name known and feared across the land. The year Chad Henne's 4-year torment commenced. The year OSU pulled away from the foul ground squirrels of Upper Toledo and never looked back.

A gallant, fearless, and fair-playing Michigan team goes into Columbus, and pushes the Schmucknuts from one end of their field to the other, all game long. Unfortunately the result on the scoreboard was in favor of the Schmucks, but only because they once again resorted to using a cheating player, to score the winning touchdown. Ah, the tressel years ... grand days for OhNo football ...

The Buckeyes would be an unstoppable offensive force over the next four games and head to Ann Arbor for one of the series' alltime classics. 2006 saw the granddaddy of them all...the wildest OSU-Michigan game in decades. It was the denouement, in a way, of the Carr vs Tressel years as it would be the last time Michigan could field a competitive team against Ohio State up to this very day

By the end of the day, Ohio State had compiled close to 600 yards. For Chad Henne and Mike Hart, it would be the sour taste of a third straight loss. Ohio State was the conference's undisputed premier program and Michigan was preparing to enter its dark years.

Really? I know U-M fans are eager to void everything associated with Tressel but you can't wipe away that much futility. I like U-M but didn't go there nor did I drink the maize and blue koolaid.
