The REAL story here was Urban Meyer's cowardice. 2 DC's, two Head Coaches, (calls his own plays on O), dead period of recruitment, why was he so afraid to face his former team?
Meyer most certainly could have coached from a wheelchair wearing a bulletproof vest, chickenshit bitch.

I think Miller is about as far along as Pryor was when he was a frosh. He had a better supporting cast and all-around situation. But TP was a poor passer as a frosh.

Tiptoe through the minefield if you must, but no amount of therapy, liquor or denial will assuage the anger, rage, guilt, remorse or futility of 6-7....it's RichRodesque!

Miller has a much higher ceiling as a passer than TP.
I would be happy if he equaled TP's game. About midway through his sophomore year (after the Purdue debacle), he "got it" -- or was at least "getting it," and was really solid. His Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl performances were stellar.
If, by the end of next season, Miller is where TP was at the end of his sophomore year, I'll be esctactic. We'll see.

Shocking to me were the errors made by the osu players. Going through tape of that game is going to be hell. I wonder if furbin will be in charge of that.
Interesting question.
That was not a well coached or prepared football team that lost to the Gators. It wasn't the colossal failure and steaming turd of a game that M put on the field against Mississippi State in 2011 but it was close and more representative of the same kind of quittery that sunk into the skull's of M's players in the Cap One Bowl under Rodriguez's staff who had clearly abandoned him in his final days.
furbin has his work cut out for him. Given that HokeMattison managed that pretty well, and I suspect enlisting the support of a solid group of pissed of seniors who actually believed that those that stay will be champions, it will be interesting to watch furbin's work at osu.
Despite the chest thumbing over recruiting that talent brings to the board here, as freaking aggravating as that is, you still need strong adult leadership and strong senior leadership to do what the Michigan football team did in 2011. The culture of working hard and playing fair was alive and well when RR left Ann Arbor in 2010. I'm not sure the culture built by coach tressel over his ten year reign of cheating will help meyer in the tasks ahead. He's got some players used to having it their way; that kind of think can wreak havoc on a team until it is culled out. I have no doubt meyer will cull it and cull it with emphasis but how he does it and how long it takes have to be considered in measuring osu's comeback from the shit pile that was the 2011 season punctuated with the shit pile that was their loss in the Cap One.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
It was the Gator, not CapOne. As for the singular point worth addressing, they will play mostly sophs and juniors next year. Simon will be a captain. Maybe stoneburner, too. Not a ton of seniors that will play.

DSL of course that makes Tressel Ho "Jimmy" Chi Minh, but enough.
Today is very special as you bare witness as the Gold Standard of College Football wins its BCS Bowl game in stellar fashion salvaging another Big Ten bowl disappointment.
After all, it's really why you are here, your obsessive, compulsive, preoccupation with Michigan greatness is as expected, noted and appreciated. Cheers & Hail to the Victors.
