  • I would presume Delany wants to make M-Msu or M-Neb the last game of the season, with Ohio finishing against Wisky or PSU.

      • Michigan and OSU should be in the same damn division. The current divisional alignment is idiotic.

It should be split by time zones.

        East (teams in EST):

        Michigan
        Michigan State
        Penn State
        Ohio State
        Purdue
        Indiana

        West (teams in CST):
        Illinois
        Iowa
        Nebraska
        Northwestern
        Minnesota
        Wisconsin

Would the east be a little bit stronger in general? Yeah, but the west would be no slouch with Nebraska, Wisconsin and Iowa. Plus the east would have Indiana, who is the worst program in the B1G.

        • I agree with Jamie's divisions.

Penn State is headed for a down cycle. MSU hasn't recruited as well over these past two years or so, .. so they're going to take a step back. That leaves Michigan and OlieO to battle for the East.

Nebraska is always going to challenge for the West. Wisconsin and Iowa will be their toughest competition. NW and Minny can cause problems from time to time.

Oh .. Jamie. Some parts of Indiana are on CST ... but your divisions are still spot-on.

          • As of 2008, all but 12 counties in Indiana observe Eastern time. I'm pretty sure both Bloomington and West Lafayette use Eastern time now.

seeing as how M is their only rivalry game, I would presume they are pissed.

Yep. Our side was much more upset about it the first time this was proposed. Heck, going by his original public statements, Dominos Man was all for moving The Game. Until the hate mail got too strong that he backed down.

And I would posit that our rivalries with Wisky and PSU are more intense than M's rivalry with either of those two schools.

                  • I dunno about that. From what I've heard, Penn State doesn't exactly roll out the welcome wagon for us in State College, and Wisky has never been a pleasant place for Michigan.

                    • OSU fans hate the idea of moving the game. And, for that matter, I still can't understand why the B10 doesn't have E/W divisions. It's beyond stupid.

Yeah, OSU definitely has a rivalry with Penn State. That's developed into a pretty good rivalry. Most PSU fans I've talked to would say OSU is, by far and away, their biggest conference rival. And Wisky is a decent game, too. Wisky, though, falls more into the category of teams that would love to beat OSU. It's hard not to be everyone's biggest home game when you dominate like Coach Tressel did. Of the masses, though, Wisky has certainly risen to the top. They annoy me. Unlike, say, Purdue, who has managed to post 3 wins against OSU in the last 10/11 years.

                      • With the addition of the Conference Game & Nebraka, "The Game" tradition was doomed. I suppose from a Conference scheduling perspective, teams will be rotated in an effort to minimize back-to-back appearances in the last game of the regular season followed by the Conference Game. Disney is calling the shots now, get used to it.

Although different parent company but same evil, I spent the day recently at Universal Studios in Orlando, get this, day passes, 3 Adults, 1 Youth, express VIP-lineup bypass, valet parking, $1400. Of course does not include food, liquor, refreshments or souvenirs/gift shop crap. Florida resident discount included!

                            • Post 9-11 I think they all took a beating except for rat central. Flyers were down, so that flood of money laden families looking for the perfect week dropped down to a stream.

That's a good question. Tony has a point about post 9-11, but still, I can't understand how they lose money, charging the prices they charge. They don't lose in in employee payroll, because when I lived there, I had several friends who worked there, and they barely made minimum wage.
