Well, when you come in and tell us that Meyer is going to "own" us and the rest of the Big Ten for the next decade, .. you've got to expect some reaction.
I think you like it here just the way it is, sir.

Anyway: serious question for the forum -- do guys actually want legitimate info on Ohio State (some of it from "insiders"/premium), or is this just a place to put your obsession on display?
Yes ...... but many of your posts carry rub it in your face rejoinders that accompany the worthwhile news.
Tone that down and its unlikely you'll get the "puppets dancing." You also did real well when you just avoided responding with those carefully placed pistol balls of yours aimed squarely between the eyes. Just aim slightly to the right of the left ear so your dueling opponent can hear the zing of the ball going by his ear or maybe just turn your back and walk away.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
Post what you like, read what you care. Honestly there are times when I "login" to read some incredibly drab and mundane rhetoric...makes me feel sorry for some that must lead lifeless existences.
DSL where did you go? Put on your Birkenstocks, gather your locks in their best Micheal Bolten ponytail, put down your Appletini and raise your fists, it's gonna get ugly.
?I don?t take vacations. I don?t get sick. I don?t observe major holidays. I?m a jackhammer.?
Heh, Strangelove gets the clowns a dancin' again! I have to concede, he's good.
It's sort of funny (and sad) to see you boys making shit up on the fly. But, honestly, I expect nothing less on this forum. The fear is palpable and delicious.

You lack the ability to go head-to-head on the facts, so you feign outrage, etc. etc. It's fine. You're a lawyer, so you know better than to pound the facts or the law in this case. No surprise you're pounding the table. It would be nice if you had some ability that allowed you to get past that strategy, cause that could result in some verbal fun. That said, given the school you went to its no surprise you're incapable. You are however smart enough to know that you bring legit information here you are appreciated for it and you have learned the value of asking questions of those here who have it to share as well.
It is refreshing to know we will NEVER have to see "GI Jimmy" play army guy again. Although a mere stage prop to Tressel, I imagine it deeply offended those that have actually served this Nation.

How do those of you with military ties feel about all this? It's getting harder and harder to attend a sporting even without being asked to salute the military. Political stripes aside, it's regular enough that it's rote to me. No longer is that really a moment to, quote unquote, pause and reflect.

Truly classic move there- playing out your obsession and assume not only that it's reciprocated, but that it's actually flowing the other way...
but to answer the question, "No"- not because the information isn't of value, but because, as Jeff and Hack stated, you just can't keep in the proper context. You're obviously smarter and more astute than you act here, so you're probably not surprised that people respond to you like they do. The only question from our end, if we still choose to care (and most of us don't), is why do you take the time and effort?

The OP option, with respect to talent's and DSL's posts is always available.
I actually find the interchanges entertaining .... until they are taken way too seriously and that has happend on both sides.

True enough, Jeff- there is a certain entertainment value in seeing just how far these clowns will take things- Afterall, NOBODY watches trainwrecks. These two characters (assuming, in fact that they actually are two independent entities) are incredibly rich in entertainment value, but there are limits and it's amazing how far they have taken them- and how long they stay there.
But, on the other hand one does have to assume responsibility for what they post. Even in the relatively informal setting as this forum requires a respectful sort of etiquitte. If your posts are continuously antagonizing or of such little value to the point at which people feel the need to ignore everything you say, then you're the one with the problem. But it affects everybody here, and too many people have walked away from the discussion as a result of it.
Rival fans are very important in a sports forum, even the low-grade Ohio ones we have. I certainly know that in each thread this year in which something on-field was discussed like a post-game analysis of a key play, when our Nebraska fans and sometimes even the inferior Ohio ones chimed in with an opinion I found that outsider perspective very valuable. Worth putting up with the silliness, and even losing a few Michigan fans who can't take the incivility. If you can't put up with that then online sports forums are just not your thing.
