  • Uninformed rubes, spouting lies about Woody and Tressel. Unable to cope emotionally with OSU having the upper hand for nearly 70 years now

    Comment

    • Woody had his underground supporters who doled out the cash to football players in the 50s and 60s. Elite teams were all corrupt and I would include Michigan in that regard.

But I think there was a difference in culture that Bo and Don Canham brought to Michigan that never caught on in columbus because osu couldn't keep pace with out cultivating a system of under the table payments to players.

Canham was today's Dave Brandon with different stripes and Bo was his front man selling the kind of football that Canham wanted sold ... clean, ethical, congruent with the concept of the student athlete that was valued in the Ivy League. osu was a giant in football but a slobbering Goliath easily outwitted by an intellectually superior opponent in Michigan.

That was the start of Michigan arrogance. osu took a different track .... staying in the latrine of college sports because the only way to win was to cheat - a culture was born and nurtured by a long lineage of cheaters; Woody was Klink while Bo was Hogan. The disgraceful conduct of Woody is only topped by jim tressel but the point is that osu never rose from the latrine and remain there today.

Meanwhile Michigan football excelled for all the right reasons. Good over evil and that is where my strongly held views of the evil kingdom to the south started. It was the guys in the White hats versus the guys in the black ones. You have to have lived this to understand it but that is the way it was. Every M fan of that time knew beyond any shadow of doubt that osu was evil.

Lloyd Carr raised the bar even further than Bo. An intellect of the highest order, Lloyd was a professor and teacher first and a football coach second. He became synonymous with the concept of playing with integrity in college football while all the while cheaters during his coaching career prospered sometimes at Michigan's expense .... USC, Miami, FSU and a host of SEC schools that still carry on.

I actually think john cooper tried to bring integrity to osu's football program but lost out to the powerful underground of moneyed ohioans who defined themselves by the success, or failure, of osu football. Not beating Michigan could not be tolerated. john cooper must be fired ..... onto the stage comes the biggest cheater in CFB of all time: jim tressel; back into the latrine of low life cheating, for a decade, as we have clearly discovered.

The flagship of the B1G, indeed.

      What a f'ing joke.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

        • Don't you dare put Brandon in the same sentence as Don Canham!

But, yeah -- OSU has yet to win in the post Bo-Woody era without cheating. UM has proved it can win an MNC and plenty of Big Ten titles and still be clean. OSU has not.

          • Whoop! Here we go, the trailer trash/sewer scum laced OSU fans discounting the all-time record because of the "era". So what was the excuse in the 90's?

I'm sure you got em'. So what was it? Do those games count? How about us for the past decade? Who knows what all your lying, cheating, scumbag ex-coach got away with that the NCAA didn't catch. But is anybody here discounting that (besides the officially vacated season, lmfao)? Anybody? Didn't think so. 9-1 or whatever the fuck and you trailer trash Ohioans are still THIRTEEN games behind.

But okay, for arguments sake, lets just forget the ENTIRE series leading up to what you douches are comfortable with.

            15-14-1.

Is that really your claim to glory, Dr. Strangelove?!?! Yeah, hold on tight to that, prick. 1 game over .500 in your lifetime. What UTTER dominance when we DON'T count the other SEVENTY-SEVEN games of the series.

            UTTER DOMINANCE

Wow. You and whatever the fuck the other trailer trash OSU fan's name is -- straight up epically and biblically delusional.

Enjoy your 1 game "DOMINANCE" in the past 30 years and, for good measure, enjoy your 10 plus games behind the series for the rest of your lives.

            57-44-6, Bitch.

Oh wait, I mean 57-43-6, Bitch.

              • In spirited ground weasel fashion, deny, deny, deny that losing 7 in a row bothers you at all. Chirp brightly about Fielding Yost as if his wins over Pontiac High School and the Dearborn YMCA are just as relevant today as in 1903.

Here's the sad truth for Michigan fans who boast about the all-time series record: unless you're more than 75 years old, you've probably seen more OSU wins in your lifetime than Michigan ones. OSU dominated the 50's and 60's. It was even for the 70's and 80's. Michigan dominated the 90's, and OSU dominated the 00's.

So for the history lovers, you're crowing about something you and maybe not even your dads ever saw. Fielding Yost was born before Calvin Coolidge.

Almost anyone here except the Doc has seen more OSU wins, more OSU national titles (5 to 2 for Michigan), and more OSU conference champions. Michigan remembers the good ol' days and bloviates about how Bo did everything right (even while denouncing the man who taught him everything about football and was his superior in every conceivable way, Wayne Woodrow Hayes). Meanwhile OSU goes out and achieves. Michigan talks, OSU achieves.

I recall the reaction around here after Michigan beat UConn last year. Jeff was sure that a national title and Heisman were in order. Liney puffed out his chest with pride and declared Rich Rod to be the finest Michigan Man he'd ever known. The rest of the forum melted in an orgasm of praise for the genius Rich Rod and his can't-fail system (and also the giant pillars of strength Barwis was producing).

College football is indeed cyclical because here we go again...

7 in a row does bother me, dipshit. Just like it bothered you when Cooper and THE Ohio State University was getting taken from behind in the 90's and getting bounced out of the national title picture 3 times by a supposedly inferior Michigan team.

                  Shit happens.

Fact is, you can't discount any game in the series. It's like a Ravens fan saying to an Eagles fan in a 35-24 loss, "damn, had we not been down 14-0 to end the first quarter we would have won this game!!!"

No matter how you and the other dipshit OSU fan try to spin it, you're gonna go to the grave behind in the all-time series.

Deal with it. And it's gonna get worse, because now your scum sucker cheating coach is gone. It's all down hill from here, so enjoy your 15-14 "dominance".

Yeah, that's swell. Now ask me if losing in 1902 and 1903 bothers me as much as losing in 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, etc. probably bothers YOU. I'm guessing those recent losses stick in your craw quite a bit more than OSU's losses from before my grandfathers were born.

                    • You watched every game in Cooper's 2-10 stint, right? How did that feel, douche bag?

Yeah. That's pretty much how I feel about the last decade. Difference is I wouldn't have been in an OSU forum with some other douche bag troll talking shit, because shit has a funny way of turning around.

And now that the scumbag lying cheater is gone....all I can say is, best of the luck in the coming years, jackass.

                        How pathetic.

Unlike Michigan, at The Ohio State University we don't rely on luck. We achieve. And Coach Fickell or and whomever follows him will continue the proud tOSU tradition of beating Michigan, a tradition which has endured for your entire lifetime.

Grab a history book if you want to recall a time when Michigan had the upper hand. It's a foggy memory for our octogenarians, nothing more.

First of all, I never puff my chest....

Secondly, I've never, ever called Rich Rodriguez a Michigan Man. He is, and always will be, a West Virginia man.

And even if I were to consider Rich Rodriguez a Michigan Man, he certainly wouldn't be the best Michigan Man I've known. But, I will say, that at least a half dozen of the finest Michigan Men I've known come from the state of ohio....

As I've always said ... only the best from ohio come to Michigan ...

Now this is a statement for the ages. You attempt to assert that ohio will somehow continue a perceived dominance over Michigan, yet you yourself are not even sure who will be occupying your HC office next year at this time ...

.... par for the course in ohio .... wing and a prayer .. and all that ...
