Anyway, we'll see. I still think Fox will be a huge player for B10 TV rights when they come back up. Even as it currently stands, it's a massively valuable entity. If we're in the land of unicorns and eskimos, heh, then it's a preposterously big entity. And man, I'd love to see Delaney stick it to ESPN.

But I can't fathom aTm joining the B10 and I can't really even fathom UT making the move.

ESPN is not going to let the BIG go to FOX. They would be giving up the largest conference market. There is a reason why the SEC and BIG have alligned in so many bowls. Lots of fans.. ESPN isn't going to walk away from that money.

Heh. The best they can hope for is a Pyrrhic victory.

But I'm with you, let'em suffer.

Well, I mean, the thing is that it isn't ESPN's decision. It's the B10's. And if there's a comparable offer from FOX, then why wouldn't the B10 complete its partnership with FOX? Why re-up with a network that pretty clearly views your conference as 2nd rate? So, unless ESPN offers up monster money that is too good to pass up, I think the B10 ditches them.

Wishful thinking, probably, but F them.

Jeff, Not sure that I would necessarily think it's fun watching, "bigger" money dictating, more and more, the future of college football. While I understand you're point, to me, it's kinda like watching Rome burn.

            • DSL, apparently your boy Pryor is indeed ineligible for the NFL supplemental, as stated earlier rules do indeed apply outside Columbus anyway. You might want to let him know....he was Twitting something completely to the contrary.

Former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor will not be in a NFL locker room showing off the tattoos he acquired in college anytime soon. Per NFL Network, Pryor is currently not eligible for the supplemental draft, which is scheduled for Aug. 17. However Jason LaCanfora said Pryor's case "is still under review." [USATODAY]

Tomorrow is a pretty big day for you guys but will pale in comparison, just a Prelude of what OSU will be facing further down the road, it's gonna get ugly.

Inform Ohio State that there still are issues that need further explanation. ESPN reported Wednesday that the NCAA notified Ohio State that it is still under investigation for other issues. Ohio State denied the report.

However, there are possible sticking points against OSU. The university admitted that Tressel was cited twice (2005-06) for failing to report player violations of NCAA rules. He also submitted late and incomplete paperwork on NCAA compliance, and the university sent Tressel six warning letters between 2001-05 about NCAA violations.

The COI could see those problems as prior warning for increased supervision of Tressel – supervision that could have prevented the current violations. If that’s the case, failure to monitor and/or lack of institutional control charges could be added.

              • Ah, poor OP. Grasping for straws. Desperate to see Michigan get back on top by any means possible. It's been a hard decade. The conference learned that it doesn't need a powerful Michigan to be successful as OSU and Nebraska and PSU and Wisconsin can carry the conference just fine. The nation is forgetting about Michigan. Pretty soon they shall become "oh yeah, that team with the stripes that MSU beats every year"

                • Rise & Shine DSL....

Simply firing a coach who cheated may not be enough to satisfy the committee, especially considering NCAA president Mark Emmert and other university presidents have publicly stated that rules violators must be dealt with severely. Might as well start with OSU......

                  • ..... and with this I wholeheartedly agree.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

But ohio needs Michigan more than Michigan needs ohio. Take Michigan off ohio's schedule, and ohio has nothing to play for. Michigan has at least 3 other major opponents on its schedule (msu, Nebraska, Notre Dame) that will make this year's tickets a premium once again in Ann Arbor. And that trend is not ending any time soon.

As for the nation forgetting about Michigan, I'd say that may be true in 48 other states, but nobody cares about them anyway. How Michigan is perceived in places like Iowa and West Virginia is of no concern to us. However, Michigan does seem to be reviving its memories in the minds of ohio HS players, who are abandoning ohio in record numbers, in order to trek to Michigan for their college educations. Just ask the Kalis family. Shoot, even msu is grabbing HS talent out of ohio. When that happens, you know something is definitely amiss ....

                          • Once again DSL practices a peculiar sense of deflection. What is happening to Ohio doesn't have anything to do with Michigan, they built their own pig shit laden sty to wallow in.

                            • What's happening at OSU has everything to do with Michigan. This is Michigan's path back to the top. Hoke wouldn't be having nearly as much success if OSU weren't facing the possibility of scholie cuts and a bowl ban. The loss of Kalis and others is a direct result of OSU's mess and Michigan will benefit. So please, PLEASE. Michigan has an enormous stake in hoping the NCAA makes it impossible for OSU to recruit. Because that's what Michigan needs to be relevant again. God knows they can't do it on their own.
