The SEC Way is usually 1 good, 1 average, 1 bad, and 1 FCS.
There is little advantage in doing more. But getting that 1 good team to hit has been difficult to plan for in advance. For example, we scheduled USC when they were very good and by the time we played them, meh. Same with Louisville, VaTech, etc. We have Texas this year and they are gonna kill us. We are not good. Refer to the article I posted several days ago on the SEC thread for details.

I still want us to play P5 teams whether it benefits us making the playoffs or not. Marshall's not a bad lower-tier opponent in a year where you have an actual headliner game. Southern Miss is scarcely noteworthy only because I don't think we've ever played them before.Comment
