Gibbs has the ability to be an Alvin Kamara type. Maybe he’ll work out. But it’s a bit of a project.

They could have taken Carter at 6 and still grabbed Gibbs at 18 and likely get Campbell with their first pick in the 2nd round or even move up if they really had to have him. It's the value of the picks they used that's the issue. Like, they could have both the guys they drafted AND Jalen Carter. But whatevs.

I've been telling those rabid Lions fans that there is good reason that the organization is known as the "same old Lions". If there was any team that could mess up a great draft situation, its the Lions.
And, they did.
SEEMS LIKE ... they'd want to bolster their defense so they could get more 3 and outs, and put that offense on the field more often with scoring opportunities. But what do I know?
That Bama RB must really be special."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

I was like that John C Reilly gif where he has that puzzled, confused look after the Gibbs pick. The current crew had a pretty good free agency period and has drafted well the last two years so they get some benefit of the doubt. But those picks had a whiff of smartest guy in the room picks.
One thing about Campbell is he was great a pass coverage in the Big Ten. Let's see if translates, Lion fans continually complain about how the Mike can never cover tight ends.

Not a mature look by Stroud. Every major CFB recruits at least one QB every recruiting cycle. If you don’t, with an injury or two you end up with some WR or RB having to take snaps.
However, the Buckeyes roster-building philosophy did not seem to sit well with Stroud.
During the latest episode of "The Beltway Boyz" podcast, Stroud voiced his displeasure about the program's decision to bring in quarterback prospect Quinn Ewers in 2021. Stroud said Ewers' arrival in Columbus left him feeling "disrespected."

It makes me wonder if Stroud made Ewers time in Columbus unpleasant enough to influence his decision to xfer. A popular player like CJ could maker Ewers time there fairly shitty."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
