  • I'm still expecting Stroud and his WR company's best game of the season in Columbus. Last year in a losing effort, I saw that kid make incredible throws, and I saw osu receivers make incredible catches. The potential is there to absolutely light up Michigan's db's. Michigan has no lock-down db's. None. And osu's RB corps is every bit as good as Michigan's. You put all that at home, with last year's memories still motivating them, and it adds up to an osu win. At least to me it does. I think I'm probably more confident in osu's abilities than their own fans in here are. Even if their opinions stated here are what they really believe. Which I suspect they are not.

Anyway, still two games to go. Upset potential still exists for Michigan, but probably not likely. McCarthy has to get better over these next two games. He needs to work on his touch and accuracy.

    • Sorry ........ I got the that Allen is fucking annoying part right but, yeah, IU really isn't good. At one point Maryland looked like a decent team but they've pretty much imploded. They got trucked by Wisconsin yesterday when I was expecting more (Wisky is actually plying much improved football) from Maryland. I can't imagine the team as it is right now will survive an away game at HV. There's no way they can keep up with osu despite osu's flaws.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

      • Wisconsin is still Wisconsin. They're just playing worse teams. And Maryland is still Maryland.

A winning Powerball lottery ticket is now worth $1.9 BILLION!!!! Next drawing is tomorrow

Ohio State is averaging 1.9 points per possession on drives that start in their own territory over the last three games.

                • Again, it's nice to see people finally acknowledging, even if implicitly, that I've been dead fucking right about this team all year. Though, it'd be nice to see you just type "You were right, Talent"

I remain of the same opinion -- the offense is nowhere near as good as people think it is and the defense is conisderably better than people think it is.

They've both endured some fairly ridiculous injury luck. They haven't been healthy at RB since Notre Dame. They lost a top 10 NFL draft pick WR in the 2nd Q of the first game. They've variously played without all of their startin DBs. It's been brutal.

If Corum goes down that would really, really hurt M. But the biggest injury for M is, what, Erick All? Whatever.

Nikhai Hill-Green's absence has hurt us. Our linebacking corps has been mediocre at best.

I'm not sure if Ryan Hayes is expected to be out for long but that one would hurt too, if he is. Fortunately, the Trente Jones injury has not bitten us yet, but we're down to what is probably our only good player at that spot now.

I think that an injury to Oluwatimi would hurt us more than Corum at this point.

                        • It sounded like Hayes will be back. That would hurt, I think.

                          • One day OSU will lose to UM two times in a row -- don't know if it will be this year, but it will be interesting to see how the program and the fans react. After a 17-2 run it can't be easy to keep expectations reasonable. In the past 15 years, we have gone through three or four "we need to completely change the program so that we can finally beat Ohio State" transformations. OSU hasn't had that kind of reckoning since 2001. Practically a lifetime for anyone under the age of 25.

                              • CRD's recruiting is nearing full impact. If you look at who is coming back next season it's really impressive. There are some question marks (most prominently at LB), but the team will be stacked. And I think the defense will continue to arc upwards. So, you know, 11-win seasons (or more) aren't going away.

BUT, Ohio State fan expectations are in the stratosphere. Last season was, very much, a FAILURE. Think about that. So, yeah, if CRD loses in November -- and he will -- his seat will get warm. And it'll be hot if he doesn't win in AA in 2023. 12-1 seasons or not.
