Well, yes and no. The message is that Ryan Day saw the same kinds of weakness in MSU's defense as most of us and probably M's offensive coaching staff saw. Going in, the match-up between MSU's DBs and OSU's WRs had to be a nightmare scenario for Mel Tucker.

The thing about Day is that he optimizes mismatches better than any coach I've watched in a while. He didn't need to deal with RZ issues if he could design plays that would torch MSU's secondary. Welp, you're watching that game plan come to pass.
