  • Michigan's D made Wisconsin's run game look really good. Mattison's not going to fuck it up like Brown is repeatedly demonstrating he can do..... repeatedly.

I don't think it is a lack of talent on M's roster. It's there, not elite, but 208 yards for Taylor bad? No!

That was a scheme that I thought was good. I'm not a coach so you can ignore my view. Brown is. That he put it out there then had Hudson play like he did on the edge was coaching malfeasance.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

    • It's a very high risk/reward defensive call and requires your linebackers & safeties to play very disciplined and never miss the tackle or you're giving up huge chunks of yardage.

      • Agree..... given the 4-2-5 thing he's doing by walking a LB type up to the LoS. I guess this is being done to mitigate the DT issues, assuming those are real and you and I agree they are.

        • I say it one more time - JH is shit on the road. Forget about anything else damn, maybe have believers now? (if anyone cares)

And I'll say this again --- High water point was 'JT was short', same as the 'Bush push with Charlie Weis' - both losses.

Note- Went how I thought it would for first post above, and not upset at all.

          • Horrible first quarter for OSU. Better 2nd. Miami is horrific.

                  • The only team you need be remotely worried about is Sparty.

                      • Wisconsin looks like the real deal, they run the ball hard. Their backup running backs were just as punishing. The Spartans could give them trouble but so far the corners have been slightly disappointing and a unit that could get exploited by the Buckeyes.

                        • I didn't know that you guys played them.

That will be a tough game. They are pretty good. But ultimately, splitting MSU and Wisky and finishing with one loss is the worst you can expect.

                            • I gotta say, I'm really looking forward to listening to the MGO podcast on Monday. Brian (and the rest of his yes men) were pretty much in agreement that Ryan Day was a desperate (and bad) hire and that Justin Fields can't read defenses. I certainly get their unbridled, largely unexamined enthusiams for GATTIS!!! and Don Brown and Shea and the WRs -- that's comfortable homerism. But, man, to so brazenly dismiss Day and Fields seemed imprudent to me.

I suppose he could still be correct. Ohio State has played no one. They have two tough games coming up (a pain in the ass offense/road night game + a hellacious defense). Those games should answer a lot of questions, at least independently. And then, eventually, they'll play a team with a really good offense and really good defense and really good coach, and that will be the ultimate test (if they survive the next 2).

But, man, I just couldn't believe they were talking so much shit about Ohio State.

                              • Neither here nor there, but the next four games could all end up being night games, depending on what they do with Wisconsin.

Meaning four hangovers to look forward to. Terrific...
