        • Why not? They cleared $200 Grand Cam too.

          • Only $200 grand for a NT.

            • If TP cleared $20-40K for his memorabilia, shouldn't the IRS have a little chat with him?

              • Didn't say TP was cleared...just the guys who were named in the SI article that weren't part of the original Tat 5.

This is unconfirmed but coming from credible individuals

                  Well, that's good .....

Now all osu will have to deal with when they face the NCAA in August (or at some time after that with a new Letter of Allegations):

jim tressel, a head football coach who did agree to abide by the rules of the NCAA concerning obligations to report players who violate those rules, concealed information regarding such violations.

He did this, thereby gaining a competitive advantage during the 2010 season and in the Sugar Bowl in which otherwise ineligible players played.

jim tressel's conduct in these matters described above demonstrates a failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance.

Jim tressel, gene smith and gordon gee knew or should have known that at least 6 osu players received inappropriate benefits rendering them ineligible.

Further they knew or should have known that certain osu football players received inappropriate payment in some kind for autographed equipment that was not the property of the players but instead belonged to osu.

The loss of football equipment in such a manner described above demonstrates a failure to monitor.

Given the foregoing circumstances it is concluded that persons with the responsibility to do so failed to provide adequate institutional control to prevent clear violations of NCAA statutes.

I think that's enough for some fairly substantial penalties.

I know it helps osu fans when they get just a small ray of hope that more positive news will be forthcoming.

                  Don't count on it.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                  • As much as I think OSU should get hit by the NCAA, I can't sit here and complain about OSU while Auburn got away with buying a BcS title.

                    • Maybe the NCAA has an "every other" rule. Hammer USC, let Auburn go. Hammer osu, let ???? go...

                        • That "????" would be Oregon, I would wager. The NCAA needs a big team out West/in the PAC10 now that USC will probably fade a bit and Stanford may drop back as well without Harbaugh.

                            • It is also being reported that he has turned down interest from CFL clubs which is where he would benefit ...... but his head is obviously too big for that.

As sorry as this is, pryor is a kid who I simply can't wish well for. He needs a good ass kicking from someone with some sense.

Maybe Lebron? ...... no, never mind.

                              • Bah, I can't blame him for not wanting to play in the CFL. I mean, who really DOES? Outside of people who can't possibly make it in the NFL.

Most people would rather be a backup QB in the NFL than playing in the CFL.
