  • Iowa QB Stanley was really good.

OSU should beat MSU next week. MSU was lucky to beat PSU, but Lewerke and receivers were fantastic again. However, officiating (home field) was critical. That swings the other way now.

I didn't know that the center could be an eligible pass receiver, as in the Iowa fake field goal, which was a real work of art!

    • MSU may lose to OSU but they certainly weren't lucky in beating Penn State.

      • "MSU was lucky to beat PSU"

Did you even watch the game? MSU outplayed PSU from the start. Lerwerke couldn't miss, converting 3rd and long time after time.

        • MSU is good. So is PSU. Sometimes plays are made or you have a matchup the other team can not handle.

2 missed FG would be my first guess.

LOL. I say the same thing every time I see that joker. As creepy clowns go, he's not far off from Pennywise.

                      • MSU was helped by roughing the passer penalty which put them in field goal position to win the game without gaining any more yards.. I don't see how the PSU player could have stopped before hitting QB. It seems like refs sometimes expect defensive players to stop before the QB throws. So that was a bit lucky, yes.

Anyway, MSU played a good game and deserved to win, but that, and a few other calls, helped.

                        • Here is the Iowa secondary that picked off J.T. 4 times

RC: Manny Rugumba (Soph) - RR: 5.7 most highly touted of the secondary. Power 5 offers from Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Pittsburgh

SS: Amani Hooker (Soph) - RR: 5.6 Iowa was his only Power 5 offer. Pick six off of J.T. Barrett first play of the game.

LC: Josh Jackson (Jr.) - RR: 5.4 Iowa was his only Power 5 offer. 3 INTs, national defensive player of the week honors.

FS: Jake Gervase (Jr.) - Unranked, former walk-on. Was 6'0" 160 lbs. coming out of high school.

That was a stupid play and a late hit. The official had to call that one.

                              • Agreed. Sparty earned the win. This wasn't one of those games where the Draymond side of the family reigned supreme. They just went out and played better. Respect due.
