Well, of course. They don't slather it in that ridiculous white sauce.

For recruitniks, the battles between OSU and Alabama for Baron Browning and Shaun Wade are really interesting. Both schools -- probably the two top programs in CFB at the moment -- are full gas for these kids and it's pretty clearly down to these two schools. You don't usually have Bama and OSU locked into a final 2 battle like this.
And then you throw in Marvin Wilson, which should really get going next month. Orgeron will be fighting The Nick and Urbs for him in a Death Match.
Right now, I'd be thrilled if OSU just hung on to Wade.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

As far as recruiting, M fans, since you're kinda new to this modern age elite recruiting status, take my unsolicited advice:
1) never take a verbal commitment too seriously
2) do not get upset when Bluechip Bob that you thought would flip, doesn't
3) however, do not be surprised when a verbal does flip. They're kids and there are other extenuating circumstances that you do not see
4) never think that one kid makes that much of a difference. He usually doesn't. For example, a few years back we had a kid (QB) flip to Miami and we flipped Greg McElroy (from Texas Tech) as his replacement. There were Bana fans who were ready to jump off buildings. It worked out okay. Remember, it's a numbers game."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

I'm bitterly disappointed Malik Hooker did not win DPOY.
I'm not bitterly disappointed about the potential upside for OSU's recruiting class. I might have actually undersold it. Really a great opportunity to stack classes, especially with 2018 looking fantastic.
And I've learned there are gads of refs from Ohio!Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

A brief NFL post -- it seems certain Ezekiel Elliot will win the NFL's Offensive ROY Award. Meanwhile, Joey Bosa is putting up PFF numbers that are beat only by Khalid Mack and Vonn Miller. I'm not sure if he'll get enough actual stats to win Defensive ROY, but he's definitely in it.
Would have been nice to have them on Saturday, but elite players don't typically hang around for 4 or 5 years.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
