No way. Not even close to as bad as SMU. And, IMO, USC, Baylor & Minn. scandals much worse

Since you're now quoting him, Dohrman also said it was obviously a case of a lack of institutional control. He said that in his interview with Dan Patrick. That's the one where he said that tosu players hang out with known drug dealers.

              • The USC and Minnehaha scandals are only worse if you believe that this scandal only goes as deep as tattoos, gold pants, and shoulder pads.

                • I think there's a possibility that investigators will learn that Terrelle Pryor should have been ruled ineligible before he ever set foot on campus. I'd think that's unlikely, but if that proves to be the case, Ohio State would be looking at vacating every win in which Pryor played. It's going to be tough for Ohio State to argue against a lack of institutional control charge if they played an ineligible player for three seasons. That's a worst-case scenario for the Pryor part of this investigation, obviously, but so far in this mess worst-case scenarios have looked less far-fetched every day.

Well the guy who knows more about the current scandal than anyone on the planet has declared that OSU isn't nearly as bad as USC or Minnesota. So you either take his very knowledgable opinion or you can trust your own desperate-to-see-OSU-taken-down gut.

Minnesota involved wide-scale academic fraud being under the guidance of the coaching staff itself. I don't see how this could possibly rise to that level of complicity short of Tressel giving Terrelle rides to the dealership where he picked up his free car

I just heard Kevin Noonan of Buckeye Grove.com on radio and he made a point that the OSU program is a graveyard for coaches. He revealed the fact no coach since WWII has left on his own terms since they all were fired or resigned. The last one was Paul Brown who left on his own terms to go fight the war. Is that stunning?! Even their greatest coach Woody was fired albeit his own doing. The culture there is all SEC.
