    • Every word of that story rings true to me.

      • Meh ...... a recruit didn't get enough love and then went public with his hurt feelings.

The bad part is the comment by ufm that it's only one out of 650. He misses the point that it only takes one aw shit to erase 1000 attaboys.

Anyway, nice to have urbz getting some negative press while HARBAUGH!!!, well, you know.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Or not. It actually doesn't take just one when it comes to recruiting. Anyway, I'm sure Ohio State's recruiting will suffer. BTW, Buchanan, you should check out how OSU's 2017 class is progressing.

          • I may take up with others here who are calling for a cool glass of Flint River water for you.

Yes, I've seen osu's '17 class roster. Very respectable ..... and yes, this incident isn't going to mean shit wrt osu's ability to make a recruiting haul. But every little ding helps.

The point is that ufm is now beginning to and in the future will live in the shadow of HARBAUGH!!! while JH basks in the limelight of a generally positive press. Folks love to pimp urbz. There aren't many sports journalists left who like to do that to HARBAUGH!!! He's become a media sweetheart. And when one of them tries to ding him, they get hammered.

Frankly, I don't think ufm cares, nor should he, but it makes for good fan base conversation.

            • The positive press coverage won't survive a repeat of the 2015 Game.

                • Good points, Buchanan. Hard to refute that UFM is living in the shadow of HARBAUGH!!!!! Given that indisputable fact, I'm really happy with the way UFM has been able to scratch and claw on the recruiting trail. Very, very, very tough to keep pace with or even stay in the same ballpark as HARBAUGH!!!! and his massive shadow.

Meanwhile, Landon Young was actually took the time to explain his quote in that article. He thought it was "funny" that a coach would be so direct with a player he was recruiting and has lots of respect for UFM and his staff. And so forth.

Pretty much what Swenson said about HARBAUGH!!!!! If, you know, you make it up.

                  • Update from life in HARBAUGH!!!!!'s Shadow:

OSU has sold 68,000 tickets for the spring game to date. That is ahead of last year's record-setting pace. With Saturday's fantastic weather forecast, I wouldn't be surprised to see 100,000 -- breaking OSU's own record.

Also the visitor list is impressive. It's disappointing that Grimes, Okudah and Shaun Wade won't make it, but 4 of the top 6 players in the country WILL make it: N. Harris, Josh Meyers, DPJ and Darnay Holmes. They'll only get 1 of those 4, but still, pretty cool.

                    • More from HARBAUGH!!!!'s Shadow:

Ohio State has tied the record for invitees to the NFL draft with 5. I think all 5 go in the first round and I think Vonn Bell has a chance, but is mostly likely 2nd. I think Bell, Braxton and Washington end up going in the 2nd round.

It's obviously not NFL MACHINE, INC, but it's not bad for life in the shadow.

LOL, You've potentially identified some pro prospects Urbie, thanks, now back to the amateur kiddie table, you've reached your plateau.

Now it is up to Super Bowl NFL coaches such as Belichick and Harbaugh that will turn these raw recruits into Professionals, not unlike themselves.

See Talent, technically I don't need these ridiculously expensive carbon-ceramic brakes , I could just throw an anchor out the window as I approach an intersection, suppose like Hack and hope for the best I guess..... but oh, how sweet it is to brake, very much like a Pro, one might say.

                          • Ohio State has asked Todd Sibley to take a greyshirt. Sibley is a RB rated around #225 nationally. I expect he'll depart OSU's class and, sadly, probably end up in the B10 -- this one has Dantonio written all over it.

The upside is that OSU has to be trading way up.

                              • I'd much rather see Meyer cut the act, admit his OSU academic charade, atone for his sins and discuss restitution terms.

According to a pro scout's report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Hyde’s Wonderlic score was 9. Given that 10 is the minimal literacy level, you wonder who Carlos has to thank at Ohio for his great academic achievement. Maybe he can credit Urban Meyer, who was so tough on Carlos.
Once, Meyer kept Carlos out for two whole plays after an unspecified “academic infraction”. Oddly, Hyde’s performance turned out to be “the third-best rushing performance in Ohio State history.
Meyer said about Carlos “"He's fine. He has been great and I expect him to be great again. I have no problem with Carlos….(but) "Academically our guys are held to a certain standard,"
Since a 9 score on the Wonderlic does not meet the standard for basic literacy (10), you have to wonder what exactly was the standard of Meyer and Ohio .
