  • Hey, as we speak the #4 DT in the country and #78 overall player (both 247 Composite) verballed to Ohio State! And he's at Bishop Gorman in Vegas and transferred there from Honolulu! West Coast!

Of course, I don't think he's even visited Columbus. So, ummm, yeah...I'll file this one away under "He's interested in Ohio State". So....heh....I'll consider that the softest of soft verbals.

Anyway, that gives OSU 10 commits (not counting a K). 6 of the 10 are rated #78 or higher in the 247 Composite, and only 2 of those 6 are from Ohio. Which means there are 4 kids OSU will have to scrap to hold onto over the next year -- well, 3 -- I think the OT from Colorado is super solid. Should be good enough for 2nd in the B10 once JH starts picking his 5* kids.

    • Although OSU owns him, I am sure gonna miss this mofo!

Never played a full season of college, he's going to crash like a meteor, will make Clarett's meltdown look amateurish.

Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones is an intriguing pro prospect for the upcoming NFL draft, possessing a multitude of physical gifts but lacking in game experience. One thing the 2014 National Champion isn't shy on, though, is confidence.Jones took to Twitter hours before Super Bowl 50 and made a vow that he would one day play in the big game. One day, I'll be getting ready for #SuperBowlSunday🏈 #ProveThemWrong😤— Cardale Jones (@CJ12_) February 7, 2016 He quickly followed that proclamation with another message telling those reading to "remember that tweet." Remember that tweet.....— Cardale Jones (@CJ12_) February 7, 2016 Of course Jones is no stranger to interesting Twitter comments, as he gained a fair amount of fame for his tweet in 2012 asking, "Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS."

Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones should not have entered the 2016 NFL Draft. There are simply too many holes in his game.

        • And proud we are of all of them, but I'm looking forward to the future rather than clinging (tenaciously) to a (distant) past.

                        • It'll be interesting to see what the Committee does with us should we steal a win from Iowa or MSU. We'd be at least 11-7 in conference play, and normally any team with a conf record that good in a major conf gets invited

                          • Now that basketball season is over...it is, isn't it?...a quick look at some OSU targets/commits in the 247 Composite top 100....

                            3. Josh Myers OT, Solid Commit
                            6. DPJ, WR. He definitely seems like he's either "close-ish" to home or away option, and OSU is running 3rd in the "home" lane - in it, but not likely.
                            9. Jeffrey Okudah, S. Best guess -- OSU or Stanford. OSU is definitely in it.
                            10. Trevon Grimes, WR. OSU. Near lock.
                            12. Shaun Wade, CB. Not-quite-solid Commit. Early verbal from SEC-land. Battle to NLOID.
                            21. Josh Kaindoh, DE. Currently, it seems OSU or Maryland. Witfong says OSU. I think a lot will change with this kid over the next year.
                            24. Tyjon Lindsey, WR. Presumed to be an aTm lean. OSU is very much in this one.
                            38. Lamont Wade, CB. I think it's Pitt or OSU. I give the nod to Pitt for any WPIAL kid.
                            47. Isaiah Pryor, S/LB. Almost-solid OSU Commit. Early verbal/SEC offset by transfer to IMG. Rooming with Marcus Williamson. Working hard on Kaindoh. Kirby will still make a run amongst others.
                            61. Jake Moretti, OT, Solid Commit.
                            76. Haskell Garrett, DT, Not-Quite-Solid Commit. Any commit w/o a visit can't be solid. I think he'll stick, though.

There are others with interest of varying degree, but the foregoing are, at the minimum, legitimate possibilities with DPJ being the biggest stretch.

I have no idea how Marcus Williamson isn't in the top 50, let alone top 100. Rivals apparently thinks there's only 1 Ohio kid in the top 100 and that Williamson is the 7th best player in Ohio. And there he is in Orlando dominating "The Opening" and earning rave reviews.

                            • You didn't even live up to the avatars wager.

My last post on this outside of the OSU thread. There's lots of 'on topic' ways to clog up this thread. This is far better discussed on the 50-4 thread

                              LOL
I offered you the option to reduce the bet from $500 to avatars, which you quickly excercised.

I posted your Pic & Tagline for over 2+ weeks, since we did NOT specify for how long, I logically dumped it after a reasonable amount of time had passed, IMO.

                              • Thank you for moving this nonsense over here.

I did offer a full month but I am rescinding the deal....the unpleasantness is screwing with my Chi.
                                So, ummm, yeah, whatever.

Even if I assumed you'd actually nut up and carry out the wager this year, I don't have $700 to wager on anything -- I wouldn't bet that much on Ohio State-Nebraska.

I congratulate on your cars and yachts and $15K MTBs and all other fortunes that afford you the luxury of being able to light $700 on fire. You're obviously quite successful.

As a side note, poke you brother for me. I don't even like fronting $125 to contest winners.
