Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season
Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.
Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.
If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!
Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.
Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

Arik Gilbert sure made a mess of his college career. Former 5 star and #10 recruit in the country originally signed with LSU. After playing his freshman season transferred to Georgia (after a flirtation with Florida), then this past offseason he transferred to Nebraska. Matt Rhule was certainly hoping he'd have him available pending a waiver approval from the NCAA to be able to play this year since it's his 2nd transfer. They were expecting news either way very soon and then this happened.
EDIT: Recently Rhule spoke about the waiver:
The first-year Nebraska coach described Gilbert as the “most deserving young man” of a waiver to play in 2023. “The NCAA should not even have the waiver if he doesn’t get it,” Rhule said. “But there’s a lot of parties involved. And there’s a lot of entities out there that don’t always have people’s best interest at heart. He deserves, 100 percent, in my opinion.
“He deserves this. Shame on anyone who stands in the way or doesn’t help.”
That really sucks for Rhule. You stick your neck out for a talented kid who was clearly running out of chances to get his shit together and then he goes and does this.Last edited by Mike; August 29, 2023, 09:05 AM.

I thought this was a joke at first. Until I looked close (my eyes are bad) Nebraska loves its Volleyball as much as football!
