...and on cue, Riley is talking about paring back the playbook and focusing on the execution of core plays.
Very frustrating. One of the reason I set aside my trepidation of Riley's offensive philosophy was that it had been proven absorbable by college players, as contrasted by Bill Callahan's NFL cram-session with flashcards technique. With as much collegiate experience as he has, Mike would surely understand the balance between doing enough well and doing a bunch poorly...but apparently not. Or else he's not been keeping tabs on his OC, and I am not sure which option is worse.Comment

I'd say the solution to the lack of practice time available to collegiate athletes to learn about playing football is simple ......
Burn the NCAA, pay CFB players from the revenue generated by the game and develop a scholarship driven 3y college program awarding a Bachelor's degree in Football.
Simple. Why we continue to dance around trying to maintain amateurism in CFB is insane.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.Comment
