Based on what has been shown in the open practices we?re going to be a zone team in the run game...Outside and Split primarily. When we?re seeing 2-high we?ll counter with the Split zone and Fly series, getting extra ballcarriers involved with the numbers in our favor.
Less dropback in the passing game, more emphasis on the quick perimeter throws and action passes off the OZ look. When we get 1-high looks, we?ll throw quick and outside, to allow the wides to make a play with their athleticism, and go play-pass to Carter vertically.
Defensively, they feel much more confident in the Quarters scheme, and have made significant upgrades in talent at the Nickel and Dime positions. We will play more of those personnel groups this year as a result, in situations where we stayed in 43 personnel last season. Expecting to see some 30 front alignments in long-yardage situations.Comment
